Best thing we can do, for my two cents, is pray for our country. The political sphere has become so toxic, it’s hard to even decipher what our “best options” are. As a Faith and Family first person, I struggle with many of our constituents. I also realize that I’m in a very small minority with how I approach it. Everyone has their one or two voting points, and that’s absolutely their right. Maybe we can start a separate thread where we can discuss things we agree with, from both sides, and build from there. Yesterday the Supreme Court made it official that discriminating against someone simply because of the color of their skin is racist by abolishing the racist Affirmative Action. Today, they struck down Biden’s plan to buy votes by paying for student loans.Comment -
Doesn’t matter, people against the student loan will just pay taxes on other useless items. They won’t get cheaper taxes it’ll just get reallocated.
Then by end of this winter or early spring we will see defaults go up and then a real recession will hit.

When Democrat policies are discontinued due to Constitutional correction, the left become angry.

I promise you the county where I went to school, is 70% Republican. when I graduated in 1988, we were in the bottom 25% for the state and when my nephew graduated in 2005 it was, in the bottom 10%. Not a city to be found. County has about 52,000 residents and biggest town has about half of them.
The blue states don't have any of those cities run by Democrats. Hmm seems odd, That Democrats only run cities in red states.
So in Blue states where the education is better Republicans are running the big inner cities, who knew!Comment -
It’s actually not the issue whatsoever. Even Pelosi said Biden couldn’t do this because only congress could approve spending. The issue is and was and everyone knows it (except you, which isn’t even surprising anymore) that it was done to get votes just before the midterms. Biden knew it wouldn’t happen but he didn’t care. He lied and now he’s playing the game of pretending he’s disappointed and surprised.
Just wait and see what Biden will do next year leading up to the election. Maybe he’ll say everyone will get a new car or a house? He should just give everyone a million dollars. Two million for Blacks and 5 million for trans.Comment -
New York state is reeling from a COVID-era exodus to low-tax locales as revenue during this fiscal year is down nearly 20%, according to a report.
New York and California saw the steepest drops in tax-generated revenue this fiscal year while Florida and Texas saw their coffers fill up thanks to a pandemic-fueled migration.[/COLOR]
New York has collected 19.5% less in levies while California has seen its state tax revenue fall by a whopping 24.9%, according to data revealed by Bloomberg News.[/COLOR]
Meanwhile, Texas reported a 12.2% growth in state tax revenue while Florida has collected 9.9% more in levies so far this fiscal year, according to the data compiled by Urban-Brooking Tax Policy Center.[/COLOR]
In Texas, the windfall has translated into a record $33 billion surplus, prompting Gov. Greg Abbott to seek tax cuts.[/COLOR]
The disparity can be explained by the shrinking tax bases of New York and California.
Each state saw their populations fall by nearly 300,000 residents in the year ending last July — while Florida and Texas added 888,000 collectively, according to Census Bureau data.[/COLOR]Comment
