"assault weapon" murders are miniscule compared to hand guns. if the motive for banning a certain type of gun was to save lives then you should ban hand guns and make everyone use assault weapons. the ease and convenience of carrying and concealing a hand gun leads to more murders. knives, hammers/clubs, and fists/feet all kill more ppl than rifles in the usa.
