This shit has been an unmitigated disaster.

I've got several shipments still sitting in limbo that have been shipped over a week ago. No tracking update, just an FU we'll get to it when we can.

Post Office needs to be disbanded.

Nothing more than a political union.

Trash employees, no budget restraint, terrible model.

    Shut it down, go private.

fuk the usps spend a couple more fedex, and ups all the way. Orderd something (usps)on the 13th didnt get it till the 24th. Never updated in the system till a couple days before arrival , normally just takes 3 day. The route it took was insane they sent it to 2 facilities that are not even close. They complain no money, no funding all they are doing is creating more work for themselves and wasting movement. What a fuuk croc

This is funny. My dad worked 40 years there and retired from there after 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Civil Service worker.
I wouldn’t call him a trash employee but he will tell you for sure the bureaucrats in DC both Democrats and Republicans wrecked the Post Office long ago. There is no strategy or plan. It’s truly a mess. He got out at the right time.

Yeah, it wasn't ment as a slur on your father, I'm sure he was hired 30+ years ago.

The current post office is a minority employment mechanism for both minorities of color & gender and is used as a political football.

It would sincerely be in the best interests of the Country to disband it and its union and send a strong message to other public unions (EDUCATION AND PUBLIC SERVICE) that you're next.

Are there federally run golf courses that employ union workers in every congressional district?

I have no problem w a local jurisdiction voting to own or not to own golf courses. It's a vote by and of the people, and since, by law, cities, counties and States cannot run in deficit it's budget protected.

                            So how's that response chump?

However, the government body with by far the largest number of golf courses under its control is the U.S. federal government. The feds own more than 300 golf courses, with some 230 under the Department of Defense (DoD). The DoD asserts that it needs these golf courses for morale purposes. Of course, there is no reason that members of the military cannot play on the same golf courses the rest of us do. The federal government claims it makes money on its golf courses, but outside groups have noted that when properly accounting for all costs, these courses lose about $60 million per year.

THE US MILITARY (DOD) is a budgeted portion of the Exutive branch. It has no deficit, no minority hiring quota and no union.

Every year the PO is given a budget, every year they fail to manage it.

When has the US Military failed? I'd be curious to learn your thoughts on our Military here....do you hate the US Armed forces? Question their budget or discipline? Would you like to see the post office run the military? Maybe the post office should run health care for us?

You seriously are comparing US Military operations and budgeting to that of the US Postal Service and/ the municipal golf course system?

The State/City/Park owned, thou I'd personally never vote for it, is at least part of the local public interest and subject to vote every election and tightly budgeted.

We had a local municipal in Moinds View MN that people loved. Medtronic wanted to build a base on that sight and the city put it to a vote and THE PEOPLE chose Medtronic over golf. Good for them.

When do we the people get to vote on breaking the postal union? Closing underperforming offices? Dropping hiring quotas or reducing employees? When do the people get to set the price of a stamp or enforcement of an agreed to budget?

We never do...we get spin and bullshit every 6 months while the union gets bailed out, the pension gets bailed out, more and more Somolians and Hondouans and Chinese get hired at bizzare wage levels to operate a business that, I the real world, has a 0% chance of success. The model is broken, USPS is a failure and obsolete. Get rid of it- it has no purpose today that cannot be done better, cheaper or more secure by private industry.

We had a local municipal in Moinds View MN that people loved. Medtronic wanted to build a base on that sight and the city put it to a vote and THE PEOPLE chose Medtronic over golf. Good for them.

The DMV's in America are worse then the US Post offices. Fat uneducated lazy ethnic groups of people working them, everything works in low motion, you got attitudes also going on. ..

DMV's are poorly run in California. I know that for a fact..

That said, it’s one of those operations most people don’t even think about until they mess something up, are late or don’t show.

The 1st was in 1997 when the Metroplex Sports Facilities Comission DEMANDED we hire a woman to unload the keg truck and stack the kegs at the Metrodome.

It went all the way to a committee hearing before the board understand that a keg weighs 165 pounds, and what that ment for a female, working by herself, stacking them.

penetrating A people are seriously retarded at times when discussing the realities of a budget or limitations by natural design on people.
