How the fukk is it in this day and age that these boat rental companies don't have GPS trackers that a renter could pin on their shirt so if they get submerged they could simply press a button and a helicopter or rescue boat could be out there in minutes! Anyway in tribute to Naya I'm about to binge these movies..(Waterworld(1995), Head Above Water(1996), Deep Blue See(1999), Open Water(2003), The Shape of Water(2017)..Any other suggestions?

That my my initial thought as well. The lake does look pretty big and who knows how deep it is?

Deepest part can go as deep as 100 feet depending on the water level.

It’s definitely easier IMO to drown in a lake, than the ocean even if you are a good swimmer. If you are in the middle of a lake, it’s hard to float on, or tread that water before you eventually sink. But ocean salt water it’s pretty easy to not drown. The salt will keep you from sinking. You can float on your back for hours waiting for rescue.

I suppose there were enough cameras on the lake to know she wasn’t kidnapped or staged her own kidnapping by getting in another boat? Naya was an absolute nut case at least in her younger years.
