For instance, scoring 14 pts in the first quarter doesn't mean
that team will score 56 total by game's end...they might! or
they may stall at 14 pts. It's too early to know so we offer best case and
worst case scenarios.
But people (Fed gov'ts) DEMAND projections and so the gov't scientists
do the best they can with extremely limited data.

The harsher "doom & gloom" forecasts were ALL based on a response
similar to the annual influenza -- if we do nothing. No mitigation.
It would be silly to fault infectious disease experts for issuing forecast models
with a very wide range of possibilities that also include ugly "worst-case-
