#110At least in my city, people are starting to give up on the lockdown. See traffic has increased greatly and people are just waiting for businesses to reopen.
The lineups at Home Depot and Canadian Tire were apparently 2 plus hours yesterday.Comment -

#111Might not be a "second wave" because this "first wave" may not end any time soon. I guess maybe we just accept the current or past peak of death and only worry of it spikes even further above that.
I do think there is/was a chance for this to dampen in June, but it won't happen if we are not serious in May.Comment -

#112You're the one who started a serious thread on this topic as if you have the knowledge and/or medical expertise to make predictions about the virus and what the likely outcome will be. You have no personal or intimate or clinical information, only what you read on the internet. You are not qualified.
What you are qualified to do is drive to Georgia with your rig and a 53 footer and pick up a load of pecans for delivery to the food terminal back in Toronto.

#113When I want reliable and expert medical opinion on the Coronavirus and how to treat it or learn more I head to SBR and look for Lakerboys posts on the subject. Not.
Lakerboy is seen running into the emergency dept (where the Doctors enter) of a local hospital where an infected patient requires medical care - "Sir, you can't go in there you're not a doctor!" yells the security guard, "It's OK I can help, I'm a truck diver!" - Lakerboy.
Thank you Lakerboy for all the laughs at your expense and thanks for your service. I'm going to go eat a couple of barbequed burgers now. Burgers I bought at the grocery store and delivered by a trucker. I'll be back later to bury you again.
ciao for now.Comment -

#119who cares if there is going to be a so called second wave
you can't keep all the young and healthy locked up for months on end... we have shit to do and a life to live
pretty simple, the economy will be worse off for a much longer duration if we stay like this for even one more month... businesses will shutter forever and I'm talking small, family/locally owned businesses in more rural areas that can't stay closed or they will never open up again. mom and pop shops that people own to live a regular life, not make a killing or become overly wealthy. meanwhile.... fukking wal-mart is openpenetrate wal-mart

#122You and Booya are two of the biggest idiots on SBR bro. No offense. You still don't realize that if there was no lockdown when the outbreak started, millions would already be dead? Are you really that ignorant? You sound lke you've never taken any science courses in your life. It's basic environmental science 101 dude.
You were saying Corona is a flu a few weeks ago. Then Corona killed more people in 6 weeks than the flu does in a year....with EVERYONE staying home... So you got buried hard on that point, and you're still trying to keep up this little charade?
Imbeciles everywhere on SBR.
This lockdown was the clutchest thing to ensure our security.
It won't ever be secure until there's a vaccine, but we got ahead of the curve on what could have been a complete tragedy, and all we had to do was stay home for a month... Better than the alternative, which would have been the end of our country as we know it. You're too dumb, and too much of a knee-jerk reactor, just like you are on all your bets, to see into the future.
There is one decent thing you've said, that the sun will help.
That's about all you've said that has been accurate over the last 6 weeks.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#124So what have we learned?
Sweden has one of the worst deaths per million in the world. So they aren't the example the Bernie lovers hoped...lol.
San Francisco and California did a solid job of curbing numbers, while New York was clearly late to the party.
Countries that lock down in time are far better off than those who didnt'. Same can be said for states and regions.
S Korea locked down hotspots identified through testing and tracing, instead of a broad lockdown.
N Korea shot the infected guy.
Seems like the Koreas had the right approach from the start. Once testing is prolific, follow the S Korea example.
Until then, follow the N. Korea example.
If you can't stomach either, then it's lock down for you.

The protests short circuited the whole thing IHMO.The 2nd wave will be in 7-14 days....I sure hope I'm wrong.

#129If there was a 2nd wave then that means there would also be a 3rd wave, a 4th wave, a 5th wave, etc.
We would still be fighting the fukking plague & it would be the 3,330,456 version of the disease.
Please. The human body is spectacular. Nothing short of a miracle. Feed it properly & think good thoughts. You will be fine.Comment
