Currently The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant and Highly Suspect (though BIG dropoff on their latest album)

All Time probably Kings of Leon, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. U2 as alternate but only their pre-2000 stuff

there's an interesting trio...certainly some diversity.
it was tough for me to leave out Floyd...would have made my top 3 in high school.

identified by the first cassette i bought of each:

purchased this in the seventh grade, first cassette purchases of music ever for me, bought four with my lawnmowing money: presence, nazareth hair of the dog, rush 2112, and aerosmith draw the line..... at sears!

(this is an objective pick, as I'm not a huge van halen fan and didn't particularly care for dlr, but vh blew top bands off the stage as the undercard, and brought life back into a genre on the verge of dying after areosmith's latest releases were falling flat....)

note: in utero was my first cassette I BOUGHT, some dumbass left nevermind at my place after a house party at A&M.... also, gallons has become my fav nirvana song over time, replacing lithium,.... solos in my head everytime I'm really laying the wood these days......

honorable mention: gnr, anytime you can make crowds do shit like this in the video, you got immense game:

Nice. Have you ever seen the punk documentary "Another State of Mind"? It features Social Distortion and a band called Youth Brigade. They are followed around for their summer of 82 tour. I highly recommend it.

Also... what's your favorite Social Distortion album? Song?

Zeppelin and Metallica are the two best, most complete body of work, rock bands of all time. The third for a top 3 would be ridiculously debatable. Pink Floyd gets hurt, imo, by never touring much. The Beatles are too soft and poppy, imo. I'd probably go something like Tool for my 3rd.
