I would say the most intriguing to me is the Golden State Killer. Guy goes from armed robbery of a ton of homes in a certain area, then moves on to sexual assault of women after breaking in, then at the end kills his victims. The amazing thing is he gets away with it all for all these years. Guy had balls will all the home invasions.

I watched a biopic(I think Jeremy Renner played him) about him a few years ago. It was amazing how close he was to getting caught early on and future victims lives could been saved.
