Do you remember when the store stopped selling freeplays to Americans around 2010 or 2011? I wasn't working here at the time, but I remember it being posted that that was done to ensure SBR wasn't breaching UIGEA. I think John knows his legal position and wouldn't be living in the states if he thought there was any risk like that.
As far as Betislands, I was a normal poster at the time so don't know anything directly. But I'd be surprised if anyone apart from the sharp players made any money out of that in the end. I don't know for sure. But it was pretty obvious the place was being run like a hot mess with unlimited reload bonuses, free points, slow moving lines, and seeing everyone winning all the time. Do you remember how hard players there talked Betislands up? I don't recall it needing a lot of SBR encouragement. There was like a cult of players who loved the place, as plenty had probably never won before so easily. Plus SBR is not subject to USA tax laws is it?

At this point it might all be the same.
And I tend to agree, SBR stands to grow immensely in this environment, far from shrinkage.Comment -

You could be right though. I never joined BI so wasn't really following the pre-problem news about it too much. Just remember thinking lots of people had gone bonkers over it like I'd never seen before..Comment -

#76still its a circular argument. people gambling in the u.s. wont be coming to sbr forum for help with issues which is how many people find out about the forum in the first place. how can sbr have any kind of conversation with u.s. related state stationed sportsbooks, there will be no back and forth going on thereLast edited by bonzaii; 07-16-18, 11:25 PM.Comment -
