#430If you think those of us working for a living are stupid idiots, the next time get into a car accident, have a ruptured appendix, break a leg or any number of misfortunes remember this, if it weren't for my "stupid" ass you wouldn't get taken care of. I've been a nurse for 17 years and although I would love to have the life of leisure and not have to drive to work like many here I certainly deserve more respect than being called stupid! The next time you want to insult someone because they "work" for a living remember that if it weren't for those of us that work you wouldn't have food(farmers) clothes(tailors) shelter(carpenters) not to mention tvs, dvds, computers, razors to shave with, deodorant to keep you from stinking, soap, shampoo....remember everything you get to spend your gambling money on would not exist if it weren't for people that WORK! So, regardless of what you prefer to do or what you think is smart you need to grow the **** up and learn some respect!Comment -

#431I've owned a business for 7 years now and live pretty comfortably to date. Have quite a few good people who work for me. I guarantee most of them hate it. They can't be late, can't miss work, and pretty much work there asses off in a kitchen every day... but I'm fukin thankful. They show up and do their job and help keep my lifestyle where I want it. I'm just glad I'm on my side of the equation.Comment -

#433HMMMMMMM. Interesting Thread for sure. Good job MDC.
At the end of the day, it comes down to Money and how much you have and how much you can afford to lose before you can generate enough to live off of.
In the world of Sports wagering that is a Tough question. I think anyone whom has at least an 50 to 100 k bankroll could make it ? However there is no mistaken, if you lose to long and do not have a solid money management in place you are a Dead.
The problem lies not in your money but your free time?
Are you the type that can’t stay out of trouble with too much free time? To many guys can really lose control with too much time on their hands.
Are you prone to habitual habits ? Excess gambling, Drinking, Drugs, and or any other type of pattern that at the end of the day will cause self destruction to you and or your family.
Tolerance? How much of it do you have? Can you handle long periods of being solo? Truth is most guys whom have more time on their hands then they know what to do with fall into a down spiral quite often. Most of their friends do work and or have families that they stay so busy with on a daily basis that hanging out is no part of the equation at all.
Before you go leaving the High life of Being Solo? Put some thought into it?
I am not saying a Job is the answer for so many but the flip side is that many people that couldn’t work would lose their minds quickly.
Be careful for what you wish for?

#436I've worked many 9-5, 3-11 jobs in my life that I've enjoyed. Met some great contacts over the years to and had plenty of crazy times with them, all 9-5'ers. Plenty of nice tail has been had from girls I've met at these jobs. At the end of the day Mathy, life is what you make of it. If you are having fun doing what you're doing, thats great. But not all 9-5'ers hate their life/jobs. In fact, I wouldn't trade my experiences for your current position for nothing.Comment -

#442Yes, things in nature tend to want to diprese, not come together. The sugar cube always dissolves in water, you can never put sugar into water and watch it turn into a sugar cube. I believe it's called entropy. We must work to counteract entropy, else we shall all break up into our atomic building blocks, and be no more.Originally posted by SavageTrojanIf you think those of us working for a living are stupid idiots, the next time get into a car accident, have a ruptured appendix, break a leg or any number of misfortunes remember this, if it weren't for my "stupid" ass you wouldn't get taken care of. #449Completely true...and if you are successful at sportsbetting good for you, but if you think your gonna be healthy for the rest of your life your an idiot...crap happens...and us losers who work 9-5 will be able to afford our healthcare, dental....and retire with no stress! Won't have to worry about someone fouling at the end of a game to cover a spread. will be nice to wake up with our pensions just deposited in to our account. So keep your profession, and we will be the "losers" and keep ours tooOriginally posted by TheLockNot even close cupcake but you can keep guessing my profession if you'd like.
And since you brought it up I forgot a few other nice benefits to a "9-5".
Great healthcare and a pension FTMFW.
So when your 50 and you can't afford your overpriced heart/kidney medication and your barreled in because some ape missed a PAT, I will be somewhere in Southern California finishing up my round of golf and headed to the massage parlor for a honk.Comment -
