All the big cities in CA, other states are giving them a one way bus ticket to LA. Our homeless population increased 25% in the last year and probably a lot higher than that.

We are drowning in them. So many tweakers and mentally ill people and so much shit and piss on the streets it is like a third world country in LA and SF.

Downtown LA is tent city, and the drug dealers and hookers have set up tents as well to conduct business. There is an ACLU lawyer who is all over protecting their rights. Cops have to store their shopping carts full of trash and tax payers expense if they get arrested so they stopped arresting them short of a murder charge.

Most homeless Americans can't get id once they become homeless which makes the spiral even further beyond rock bottom. You can thank demorats like kraken for this. Illegal aliens get ids for free and then they can get help from the salvation army. Homeless legal born Americans have to go through months of hoops to get an Id.

my city in canada has a really really bad skid row for a number of reasons but arguably it's not that big. and i sense toronto is the same... so i wonder if police herd them into a containable area and citizens - hopefully tourists too - know to avoid the area.

i think they need to set up towns for homeless. give them all their own small trailer home.... not sure why we should even try to integrate homeless people into very expensive cities. same for low wage workers.. just simpler and better - i think - for everyone to send them somewhere much cheaper.

13 years ago I lived in a small post-industrial city in Connecticut's rust belt and there were homeless people everywhere. Once I threw a bag of garbage into my building's dumpster and hit a homeless man in the head. After that I always had to look to see if someone was in there before tossing in the trash.

When I lived in Vegas tent cities would spring up, and then 6 months later the police would come in and raze everything. The city would give the homeless people bus tickets just to get rid of them.
