When did McDonalds get so expensive?

After a long drive I was hungry and nothing in my area was still open via drive-thru, so I went to McDonalds.
Got a burger, fry, drink: $10.51....wtf?

For what you get that is ridiculous. Do people eat there all the time? They must be losing business; I thought fast food was cheap?

I know right???
I go about once every 3 years to get a bic mac combo....11 bucks when I could get a HABIT or IN N OUT combo for 7 to 11 bucks with much better food, taste, and portion.

if you're in california it's because they keep raising the minimum wage, thats why they are replacing order takers with mobile orders and the computers in the lobby. in The SF bay area, we haven't had a value menu for years. Whenever they advertise the 2 for $5 deal, prices and participation may vary, and in the Bay area, none of them participate
