#317Locksmith obviously she was cut off. I understand where you are coming from but you weaken your argument by posting fraudulently.
Carseller, working 60 hours a week, selling 4 cars a month, probably equals about $3 an hour. You should get a job at McDonalds and join the fight!!Comment -

#318It's like this. You can work for the man and hope he is generous to his loyal and devoted employee. Or you can work against him and fight him tooth and nail for everything you've got. The latter has generally resulted in more than the former. Ask for $15 and you might get $10. Ask for nothing and that's usually what you get.
If you are a fast food worker and you hit the streets, you stand a better chance of getting more than surrender. They can't pay you less than minimum wage.
The South surrendered a long time ago to its masters. You see what it has gotten them. Annihilation and on the verge of the third world .Comment -

#321You've got it made here if you have a good job. Back in NJ, a cardboard box would cost me $1100 a month...in southwest VA I'm paying $500 a month for a three bed, two bath townhouse. You can't beat the cost of living, that's for sure.Comment -

#329I wonder what all the wal mart and lowes cashiers are thinking when they see this stuff
Probably wondering where the logic in it is because they lost their jobs makig 7.25/hr and were replaced by self serve automated machines.
Reality is, $/hr is only one part of an employees comp package that is costing businesses big time. Businesses have to cover ss tax, healthcare, retirement plus wages.
It doesnt matter if min wage goes to 15/hr or not, if you work in an entry level job, you're likely to be replaced by an automated machine this decade.Comment -

Exactly correct, especially the last paragraph.
Recently read an article that claims, and right so, automation has actually been happening for much longer than most of us realize. This trend actually started in the 1980's, add globalization, free trade which creates winners and losers but most of the losers are in developed countries and you have what you have.
Some economists believe that what we are witnessing now is going to be the new norm. Blue collar jobs are going to keep decreasing in numbers and people that made a great living with these same jobs are going to be hurting. This is one of the huge reasons an asshole sits in the WH. The chance of him turning this around is small, he will be lucky if 4 years from now the economy even breaks even as to what it is today. If I am wrong I will admit it, if the crazies are wrong they will have 1001 different excuses, all BSComment -

Kraken I have beaten you down on this subject. No different than when you said the wage increase in Seattle was positive then I proved you wrong. You ran away, of course. It would be no different this time.
The wage per hour is directly related to if you will see machines replacing entry level jobs. Stop thinking because you're not very smart and listen to someone intelligent like myself.
There is a reason I know global warming is BS and you think it's real because "you stepped outside and could tell."Comment
