I'm not sure either. 2nd degree murder?? I don't think so but I'm not well versed on the law. Not sure what is an appropriate punishment.

Martin is gone. Nothing will bring him back. Not sure Zimmerman should be rotting in some cell when he can be of use to society. It's sad for both families. Maybe he can write a book and give some of the proceeds to the Martin family. Win/win for both families. Other than that, I don't see it ending well for him. He's going to be labeled by this forever. He probably feels like shit which is why the huge weight gain. It's going to be hard to overcome the guilt. I really feel bad for all parties.

I really don't know what is the best outcome here.

Zimmerman called police 7 times in the last year? That doesn't seem like a lot. 8 burglaries, 9 thefts and 1 shooting in an entire year isn't a lot either. That is pretty low if you ask me. My neighborhood probably has that many in a month or 2 and it's a very good area.

The head of the home owners association testified the other day that he did not see a need for a watch program in the neighborhood in the first place. He said these were petty crimes and not vicious, violent acts that needed the scrutiny. Zimmerman is out there booking people on jaywalking, having the garage door open, etc. Come on...

Well after listening to the full 911 call with 'the scream' in it. Common sense say it IS Zimmerman calling out for help. From the time the call starts....it's a full 30 seconds of 'help, ahhh, help, nooo, ahhh' and those noises until the shot is fired. So this means there had to be another amount of time going on while the caller was dialing and waiting. Couple this with the injuries and all other testimony regarding the struggle....that was Zimmerman being pounded and calling out for someone to help him. Why would it be Trayvon? Trayvon had no other injuries....so we know Zimmerman wasnt beating on him for that amount of time....all adding up to a self defense ruling boys.

How could our country possibly ever survive without all of these minorities committing such a high percentage of violent crime? As unfair as "separate but equal" really was, it was successful at keeping these people down as there was far less black on white crimes when blacks were mistreated. The U.S. as a nation has gone far too much the other way and yet Jesse Jackson, Al Shaprton still whine each day about racism in the U.S. Just think how much better the U.S. would be as a nation if the 1964 Civil Rights Act was NEVER passed. Now thanks to the Supreme Court POISONED by the 2 Obama hand picked liberal justices in Sotomayor and Kagan, being gay will be shoved down the throats of our children as to how natural and great it is. Only someone as insane as your typical liberal democrat could possibly believe all of this will benefit the U.S.A. going forward.
