how dare you correct me. i will have to go back and read your posts to determine what a "contrarian" play isNo Doves. The UNDER is contrarian and the cheaper price is because the books are showing liability from sharp, non public action. It's RLM and you countered it.
White Sox are a strong contrarian play here and the line already moved down. In fact, with all the public action on TB, I expect the price to go back up from low 140's to mid 140's. That's a price target there and it's actually -144.
That's not sharp money, that's the books trying to hide the pressure but just can't much longer.

It's basically fading the public, but before a play is triggered the game is capped and the market, including specific moves at specific times and at specific books is watched closely for triggers and positive signs.
Everyone and their mothers are on the Over in Boston and TB as well.
Doesn't set an answer in stone, I bought the Under and am still holding on TB for market movement.
Still listening to the show in Chicago...

Yeah, big indicators can be that sharp money that that goes against the public, the Contrarian Fund looks at that.
Sometimes it's RLM, sometimes not. Sometimes everyone is on one side, sometimes the tickets are on one side, but the bigger money is on the other side.
Lot's of potential situations, that's why I have so many plays on the radar, but we need volume to help us fine tune just what situation we are looking at.
Absolutely love the mind changing fund, fukkin asshole fund. I've talked about plays in these "Funds" being forced to buy, with discipline, but sometimes I just know it's a loser.
I started to track that, and the reasons why, to make further metrics that again don't change from season to season. We can see these markets always regress from extremes unless you are the goddamn montreal alouettes. Season one of the CFL was all about that. The sharp forecast won like crazy and the side fund that pressed or countered the forecast did even better.
It becomes a point where you feel pressured to post a play, the mind changing fund must be quantified or the market will eat you alive. We try, but we can not outsmart the bookmaker, we can't, we can only hope to help him or hurt him when he declares what he wants with a line move.
Wrote all of this after burning one and listening to KD start to take over the mind.

SF, KC, DET, CIN, LAA, CHW, all plays on the radar, and some very strong.
A small widening of that circle would put most of these plays in. See how it says CIN, LAA, just watch that two pick fall 0-2 as Wash and Clev win.
How about the Total In Cincy/Wash where more people have, not remarkably Under tickets. My sources show the money, in a little more extreme fashion, is on the Over.
The market ticked downward in what should be considered a sharper move and steam, not just public action, yet bigger money will disagree.
Perhaps the books wanted more public action and created some steam with a move, they don't seem to show much liability on the over, even though we know they have it, after ticking down. the books know what we are up to, we are not alone.
Yet, some shops we can read do show the liability, revealing the cards. I think it goes Over.
