I will do my best, now that we’ve seen some playoffs underway, to put more into posting than just “here’s the numbers, I need to leave.”

But today isn’t the day…lol. The sharp forecast says Toronto beats Milwaukee 104-85. The public gauge says Toronto wins 99-95.

This game has screwy written all over it. I haven’t done all the homework and don’t need to in order to say that, sure the line is close to the gauge but it’s movement down on public pressure isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. It can and will be countered in the moneyline, especially if the moneyline on Toronto is cheap enough. My metrics indicate that -225 will get some influential buying but it probably stops higher than that. A market is being made, and it becomes the “sharp” number. One side is often “sharp” and one made by the public, it can be tricky to tell which is which, especially with moneylines, but it deals in leading and trailing markets.

Anyway, sometimes you have to cap the rest of the market and it will be interesting to see where things close.

Quite frankly, I don’t like the numbers I see in the research. Maybe it has to do with Lowry, maybe it’s deceptive numbers. No trades in the first game today.

That’s some agreement and we’ve seen the total move towards the numbers, even on public pressure. I think this Total opened a little low and the books of course moved upward on pressure they knew they would get. There is reason to be suspicious of the OVER in this game.

The line looks pretty tight and with many sharps sidelined, in this type of situation, we could see a Wizards upset here...it tends to happen.
