In situations where shit is going down I have no problem with police doing what they feel is best. I trust them enough to call when I'm scared, in danger or want to report something. Why wouldn't I trust them now? To not do so is like the people who choose not to vaccinate their kids but then rock up to a hospital when their kid has whooping cough. (Massive epidemic in this country despite being non existent in most other 1st world nations). We just feel differently about this...but please don't make this a US vs Australia thing. That's not only petty and irrelevant but almost embarassing.
