I own the 80" sharp aqous 3d. Have had it since June. I love it. It took some tweaking to pic setting to get it to my liking but it is amazing pic quality. Sports and movies are beautiful. I haven't really watched much 3d but the few basketball games I have seen on 3d are pretty cool.
I had also heard the concerns about sharps quality and their customer service but they have really upped their game and have several customer care options if you have any issues with your tv. Since tv has built in wifi, sharp can even work on your tv remotely and try to detect what issues you have to potentially force you to ship tv back and forth to them and be without a tv. I will be happy to take screen shots for you, but there is no way the pics would do it justice.

as for this, sometimes it's okay to understand that you dont know what youre talking about and just not make a post
fair enough, but saying insignia is made with the same parts as lg is like saying you might as well buy a scion or camry because they have the same frame as a lexus

opie is obviously one of those guys that has wealthy friends and wants to show off an expensive tv (why else would someone need one that big), so i stand by my "non-techie" input. invite fellow millionaires over, and say "look at my new insignia tv" they will laugh

This just goes to show you how barren and empty his life is. Why does someone need that many TV's and considering the losers non stop posting on SBR just goes to show you he don't have a whole lot going for him. Then again he is from Texas and just probably don't know any better.

How barren and empty is your life that you pretend to bet millions on a gambling forum?

You don't need to be jealous when you hear someone spending more on a TV than you paid for a car.

isn't it great how even a conversation about tvs turns into a pissing contest and e-battle around here?

Above 60" I'd just go for a projector. Can't be beaten for a proper movie experience - a friend of mine recently built a room, and I'm so hooked ......... seriously considering doing the same myself.

Last time I checked you're on SBR saying you're betting half a mil on who wins the Heisman...Not Opie.
So, seems you sit around and lie on a forum, while opie admits to betting 50 bucks on every rangers game...
                    hehe.
                    good one.

samsung will make more plasmas this year then they ever have.. depends on taste in pic.. i saw both samsung top led and top plasma side by side last night on a 60 inch . i liked the led wife and sales guy like plasma. both great..

lcd are dead only place you can get them is sams walmart etc. thing of past
errrrr, LED's are still LCD's. again, this is where marketing has fooled all the brainless/n00bie consumers.

LED (Light Emitting Diode) simply refers to the type of backlight the set uses, but they're still Liquid Crystal Displays.

I paid more in taxes last year than the value of everything he owns.

Pretty sure my E class Mercedes still has more value than any TV he can purchase.

I have had a 46" LG for the last 4 years. It was 1200 when I got it, and now u can probably get it for half that.

I think anything above a 60", you have to consider projection. Some of the new projectors are amazing... add surround sound and u got a pretty killer cinema experiance.

However, the bigger the screen, the worse it is for streaming sports. My 46" is pretty bad for streaming EPL. All the players are all pixalated.
