If these earthquakes in the extreme part of Southern California continue, you may see the end sooner than 2012. They are really getting to be a major pain in the ass. At least they can happen during daylight hours, so I do not have to drag my ass outside with a flashlight to check for gas leaks and damage.

There is good news and bad news about these quakes. There are three major fault lines tht run through the Southern part of California. From East to West. The biggie, (San Andreas fault), the San Jacinto Fault zone, and the Elsinore Fault. The good news. The San Andreas fault has not been involved in all of these quakes. The bad news. The other two have.

For those of you who live in Southern California, not only is there a much larger number of Quakes happening, but they are moving in a Northwesterly direction. Notice the huge aftershock fromn the Easter Quake occurred in the U.S. not Mexico, where the original quake occured.
