Both. Daygles if you read i mentioned after that first year Rudy will come "out of promotion." Also if Rudy did cancel he would be charged a 20$ cancellation fee for each month remaining on the contract.

This is my biggest beef with them. I've been a 20-year subscriber, i shouldn't have to call and beg for discounts. I'm good with $15/month for Nitro and its 9000 channels.

i have like 62.99 off for 21 more months

25 off for the next 12....i actually thought it was only 6 but they gave me 12 i guess because they sent me an email on what we discussed

and sending a usb thing for cbs

i recommend going to directv chat instead of calling. then you have proof and they have to be extra nice

when i called 3 months ago and said i want to cancel, the bitch didnt offer anything and canceled, told me to pay for the current month

with online chat there is always a trail of what was said

The problem is I built my programming with my DVR's.. I'm currently using 2 genie Directv DVR's and one regular one in my house.. Paid for.. I switch I gotta buy all new DVR's for the new provider.

That SUCKS for me.. Those 5 channel DVR's aren't cheap either.. I know you can lease them but still with a new provider you pay out the nose or you are locked down to a long term lease..

I am thinking of looking into cable, I hate the black outs with weather and the dishes on the roofs.

6'5 and 235 today pal mostly muscle. Still looking good and getting looks and I can't complain. The old body is still holding up for now no aches and pains. Summertime in SO CAL now, taking full advantage of that, beaching it almost everyday.

All nice and dandy but how do you hook that up to a DVR that can record 5 channels at once with that? How can you program that DVR to record all your favorite shows when you are not at home and then watch later?

That's the power of a GENIE DIRECTV DVR that is worth the extra $75 a month.. Well that's my thinking anyways.. I record everything, watch later and fast forward through the commercials..

Directv offers all the League passes too.. Can split view and watch multiple games also.. Directv is still legit.. I've seen other streaming systems and providers and not many match up to Directv Genie DVR viewing combined with a smart TV..

You don't. It's a supplement to whatever you use for TV service. It completely takes care of the OP's issue. Worrying about CBS on DirecTv.

I use a digital antenna for local network channels and get the Blue and Orange package on Sling for $55 per month. And I have everything I need for under $60 per month. Sling has a DVR feature that we use often.

It also didn't help that several customers across the USA are experiencing "pixelation" problems. (I was one of them.) But they raised the prices anyway to keep up with protocol. There's no way their "Entertainment" package should be priced at $100.00 monthly... but... they did it.
