2 main genies.. Love my Directv genie DVR's.. Can record 5 shows at once on each genie, 10 in total at the same time combined.

I have 2 directv dishes on my roof because of the 2 main genie set up system so I was told. I don't know what the deal is with that? Not sure why they couldn't use one dish?

Hmmmm that is unique. It's probably been about 4 years when I talked to support about the reasons why a household couldn't have more than 1 Genie. They just said it's standard protocol. Of course DirecTV released the Genie 2 about a year ago? And... I just figured maybe the rules were less strict now if a household wanted more than 1 Genie? Which... like I said.... bigger hard drive... just overall better quality.

Jibbs cut the cord already. i have 4 firesticks with 24 hour dvr automatic of all major cable and broadcast networks. nba, nfl, mlb, and nhl pkgs as well as wwe network an all ufc ppv and boxing ppv as well. every movie the minute it hits redbox in hd quality. all tv shows from all networks including netflix. and i pay 30 bux a month. you stream ufc ppv each event. why not just pay a stream service and get it all? i always thought i would miss my dvr from xfinity, but its really like a video storage of stuff you hardly get a chance to watch. i got espn+ too just because you get everything for 5 bux a month. i only use it for cfl and ufc post fight. but the ufc library comes with it as well. limitless streams is the best there is that i've experienced.

Directv always has a crystal clear HD picture and some streams are not always crystal clear. Internet hipcuts cuts your picture also when streaming..

I do stream ESPN + to watch UFC events.. That does blow I have to admit..

I'm not bashing Firestick if it works for you I'm just to spoiled with Directv and the sports packages and the Genie DVR's that all comes with Directv. I don't go without.. I got all the movie channels as well.. HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ, Etc.. League passes as well if want to pay for them.

JIBBBS call that number I posted in this thread... see if you can save a few more $'s on your programming. Also, they might even throw in that Genie 2 if you really want it? But, before you call..... have an idea of what angle or approach you want to go when saving $. Like... do you already enjoy your package and just need added savings? Sometimes when adding or upgrading equipment they want an extended contract... so do the math before you call... have a rough draft of 2 plans.... and see if you can work the rep over the phone to your advantage. That's what I did.... I had like 3 plans. Plan 1 was working so well... I just stuck to it.

you're spoiled because you haven't had better. to put in terms you often use, think of a chick you thought was the best thing going, and then someone better comes around. fucc splitting screens. watch two tvs or one on pc. and the dvr records 24 hours automatically and the clarity is excellent. i have all those same movie channels and a library of the same movies cable has. and all sports and ppv included. i use 3 streams on firestick and have one on my phone. give it a shot. you can actually cut back on what you pay directv, keep it, and enjoy all the other channels. how much you paying for all those dvr's?

limitless streams nora go is the best i have used. email the support for a trial. if you have directv/att internet get that nora pkg as att internet is not better than xfinity. also the interface is very similar to cable with epg, on demand, etc.

Dunno why you love them so much? I had directv for freaking ever back when they were the 1st to come out w Sunday ticket and all that shit. Back when there were ways to steal it! Had the cards to get everything!! Those were nice but once started paying for unless you hounded them like you apparently do they were always trying to jack bill up every so often. I always try to have 2 providers in my area to bargain between. DirecTV and Xfinity/Comcast. In my opinion.... DirecTV has a sharper picture. Xfinity/Comcast knows you need internet... so... they get you on the TV/Internet bundle. Ways around that though. Once Xfinity/Comcast is installed in your home.... VERY HARD TO NEGOTIATE after the first year.... then you need to take all their junk back or have a tech come inside the home. Pain in the ass. Luckily DirecTV seems to budge for me.

Why don’t you get the NFL Gamepass for $100? Every game is rebroadcast in its entirety right after the original game ends, preseason also. You have access to games back to 2011.
