OK. What kind of return will make you right? Beating the market? I mean, it probably will be higher in 5 years, but unless it's 40%+ higher, then it's nothing special.

Apple has for many years been trading at a P/E ratio somewhere between 10-20. But now in the last year it has shot op dramatically.

You can see it on this graph:

Pe Ratio (TTM) is a widely used stock evaluation measure. Find the latest Pe Ratio (TTM) for Apple (AAPL)

If we make a not completely unreasonable assumption that Apple again at some point will trade at a p/e of 10-20. Then that would either mean a huge drop in the share price or would require a massive increase in earnings.

Invest in BANK REO properties that need fixing after any kind of disaster.. THAT IS HOW YOU GET RICH

I've seen it happen over and over again.. When you see a property that is destroyed after a NATURAL disaster you buy it.. Wait and fix it.. That neighborhood will rebuild in time.

That's what I know and how I've seen people get filthy rich in little time.

Gotta work hard and save up some money first though, nothing free in life. Gotta have some cash and solid CCredit to get approved with bank loans also when you are tapped out with your cash after investing to keep it going.

Start there.. Read on how to manage rental properties and do your homework.. Better yet live night and day on youtube vids on how to fix problems with house/apartment/commercial property repairs. That will save you thousands in rehab and repair costs..

That's the ticket to becoming retired and just gambling on the side for a hobby at 50 years of age if you start young..

Land ownership lasts.. Stocks not as secure..

REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING - Buy land now because God isn't making any more of it..

Tough prediction but I hope you're right.

I could see this being a long day with the election on Tues and the business friendly gov about to be ousted.

More like wake up red, end up bloody red.

Only question is whether that mid-Sept low holds. I don't think so. I think sub 3,100 is in the cards. Buying the dip works until it doesn't.

It was a hope of mine to be able to end the week going up, but short term I think we hit the over night lows before a bounce today. The September lows aren't going to hold either, I see 3000 coming sooner rather than later.

Sept low was like 3,225 so that's not far off. Sooner meaning like next week? I think so too. I just think by year's end when the 2020 story on the market is written we will at least -8%, which would be right around 3,000. Right now it's almost exactly flat for the year, but that never seems to happen at the end.

I should of bought puts on the open.

I'm worried if any of the polling looks like republicans can hold the senate we could have a strong rally.

Otherwise, the sea of red continues at least until Wednesday.

Biden Presidency with Repub Senate would be bad for the market. Continued stimulus stalemate.

Dude, we went over this 1000+ points ago.

Biden + tards adds 7% to costs. Valuations are adjusting down 15%-20% just as they adjusted up when they were passing them.

I think it more likely rep pres and dem senate. Remember in 2018...Gilliam had 6 pt lead and 5 pt lead in senate. I think trump has used the word socialist and scared the hell out of people. Shame they didn’t take aca away sooner. It would of made a difference. Only good thing is in second term Trump will be a dem and work with them. It will be a bitch slap to the right. But trump has always used people to his advantage.

Just using 10% of cash for every 10% drop, can’t see more than 30% pullback

well that's it for me, sold the QQQ puts for a day trade
and won't do anything until at least next Wednesday
because I need some political clarity to put money on anything now.
sure the open will still probably be red but i wouldn't put anything
                                                past them in this environment.

wait. they diluted a lot - two big share sales.. and Covid and NFL is the only major being played now.

if Trump wins, I would buy immediately. If Biden wins it can go lower. I think 30-33 would catch a bid though.

Well I still have the bias to the downside, but for this weekend, I'm lite on the SPXU which I switched to from the SDS earlier this week when I received confirmation that the floor is falling out and I think we are gonna be in a bone- a- fide bear market for the next long term horizon. Also bought a boatload of my favorite utility that isn't really a utility in Suburban Propane after thinking about the Snowball tout of all thing oil. I figure a supplier of propane during the winter months is enough of a oil play looking past Christmas.

I didn't do this but you can see the quick scalp trade of UPRO on the 10 minute candle into the close with people taking their profits from short trades this week and going neutral over the weekend.

100% disagree. If Biden wins, and especially if its's a Dem sweep, the Dems will be even more demanding. Why should they settle and not get what they want when they can pass whatever they want in a couple months? And Trump won't give a shit so he won't push them to agree to anything.

If Trump wins, then yeah, maybe, although I could see the R's being more defiant and less "giving", and without na upcoming election Trump's interest in giving stuff away may be less. I really doubt anything significant happens in the lame duck. Not to mention we could be preoccupied with a drawn-out contested election process.

i will be taking a few hours to go over my positions and seeing which ones I want more weight in and setting price targets...seems like a great time to seize the day...some very interesting retail names including TJ Maxx, Nordstrom and Kohl’s have caught my eye. Likely just gonna pick one or split into all three.

I spent last two nights researching a company called Repare therapeutics;RPTX and I think they may have a legitimate shot at introducing a novel cancer therapeutic that can be used across a wide range of solid tumors(pancreatic, breast, colorectal, lung)....I bought a few shares today to watch price action and likely building a substantial position over next few weeks to months depending price fluctuations..I am VERY judicious and skeptical about novel therapeutics and don’t own any pure pharmaceutical plays so this would be my first... I spoke to an oncologist friend and they have heard of this approach and feel it’s an extremely viable candidate to be standard of care in those with ATM deficient cancers...the other two inhibitors they tout are much more sketch but the R&D is legit on this one and they have leadership from who crossed over from Astazenca and Pfizer which is allowing them funding in combination with these companies’ drugs.

Its the weekend before the election and with all the possible outcomes, the stock market is sure to be on high alert in the upcoming week. The eventual outcome scenarios all have different long term outcomes in the market for years to come, but I think in the next year things are looking bad so a bear market is in the cards regardless.

This week, I stopped doing the SDS to UPRO trade and started the SPXU to UPRO and back again as my go to for everyday. I expect to continue that this week. I also bought some stocks that will end up in my at least overnight holding report.

I set my stop loss pretty far down there so I'm willing to blow about $1000 out of the $3000 I have riding on this one. I plan on holding this stock for a while as long as it doesn't go belly up and get washed out with the polluted river water.

Gold took it on the chin last week, but I think this mining sector has been overlooked. As a slurry pumping engineer, I can tell you that lately I have been getting more projects handed to me in just the last month for new exploratory projects with some of the bigger players in the field. Some of these projects are pretty ambitious and require some real technical thought to pull off. I'm not one to invest into miners when they are doing the first big dig. That is usually the time when they are spending money and not making it, but that also tells me that there is allot of money and interest in the mining sector. Its not just gold, sure the gold miners are going after the metal, but as a side job they also have several metals they run into that are also benefitting. Silver, copper, palladium, and others I can't even spell stand to make a run. Did you know that silver is used in all of that green energy stuff? Even extremely rare metals like unobtainium, which is a metal not yet discovered will be required in the future if humans are going to move themselves forward down the evolutionary trail. I'm a long term bull on the miners going into the 2021 and beyond so I don't really plan on selling unless there is a quick spike in price, if it comes down like it did this week, I'm a buyer, and to show you that I am a buyer, I bought some more this week.
As you can see, I have around 8 grand in this stock which is right about as much as I want before an election, I think when these miners start to report this month, the reports will dictate a rise in price in the stock due to the profits the last 3 months.

I've been real patient with this stock as it rose to highs in July and has since fallen off a bit to long term support.

Take a look at the monthly chart, and you can see some long term support at the 22.90ish level. The Fibonacci pullback-o-meter is at 61.8% which is about as much pullback as usual and right on time with the reporting season. After this week, I'll be looking for this stock to hold above the support, and at that time I will be looking to load up going into the end of the month.

Not much to say about gold other than it got smacked around last week as the dollar showed strength. Gold broke down from recent support levels, and I suspect that the downside isn't over yet even with all of the uncertainty going into an election. I foresee the price maybe getting down to $1800 and dare I say if shyt gets ironed out during the election and peace doesn't break out in the political community this metal may be on retreat down to the $1700 level. I can easily see either the Trumpenator or the Biden cartel winning going away and having the senate and house of representatives split. This would mean no stimulus until next February at the earliest. The market baked in stimulus back in August and just last week may have given up on it. Like I stated it will whine for a while so maybe things fall off a cliff enough to get congress back at the table giving out free cash which will make gold prices steady out. All the stuff I look at is indicating a deflationary environment going ahead next year so maybe I'll get lucky and we will have a regional war break out somewhere, it has been peaceful lately and we are due for some asshole country to make another move to take over its neighbors, and frankly I can't believe it hasn't happened yet with all of the world's nations on their heels do to the China Virus.

This one is pretty much my bank account away from a bank account. Everything oil has been beaten up like the nerdy new kid on the block this year, but going into the winter, I thought I would start stepping into this one this week when the Snowballer reminded me not to neglect oil too much longer. Oil has been beaten down and add that to some more shutdowns in the world and you have probably the lowest prices for a while. Suburban Propane is really a supplier so it is more like a utility, and they give dividends like a utility as well. On Tuesday, they will pass out 30 cents a share so you know how this works, the price will fall 50 cents on that day and give me another chance to load up a little more. I plan on slowly loading up over the winter unless of course it too falls below the stop price in which case I'll be out.

                                                                SCANNER STOCKS:

Last week I had 2 can'tidates MAT and VVV. MAT was too far above the 9 DMA for me to pull the trigger during a big ass pullback last Monday, and VVV fell outta bed on Monday so I didn't buy either.

This week I have a few more can'tidates so on Monday if things aren't too volatile, and really why wouldn't it be the vix is at a point where it could take off.

HBAN: Huntington BancShares Inc.; RF: Regions Financial Corp.; SCHW: Schwab (Charles) Corp.

All three of these stocks went on a roller coaster ride last week, and I was surprised that they all qualified to pass the scanner test criteria. I think I need to put some more parameters in the algorithm to limit how far back I can discount days of larger movement ups and drops because I don't feel good about any of these. If you look at the tape however, these all did steadily move up during the month. I just don't have the stones for these this week and will take a pass on these which will ensure that the prices will rise through the roof.

They usually don't bother. I talked to Jebadia and he told me that they are excited to vote for the trumpster. Say what you want about the people who live without modern amenities in their houses, but they are as capitalist as they come. I think Trump takes PA. I also have ties in Florida, and all my Cuban friends are falling over themselves to vote for Trump.

Then buy the dip and wait for the ride up. All in all however, I think there is more dip than rip this week. Buckle up this week is lining up to be a wild ride.
