Okay Guys Betislands Paid me By mistake and want me to pay them back.......

This thread has taken a turn for the worst , the OP got money sent by mistake he decided to keep the money and that is the end of story.

How our reputation is now even being questioned is beyond me. All of you that have played at Betislands are well aware of how we handle our business and most specifically our payouts.

Mistakes happen OP could have sent the money back he decided to keep it , I am over it maybe everyone else should as well.

Sounds to me like BetIslands thought they had a good customer and they wanted to pay fast. Lots of books do things like that for their best players (BetJam was one of the best). Turns out they had a thief, hope he wasn't planning on playing online in the future.

simple fact is this - the book screwed itself by having either poor staff and/or faulty internal procedures. the onus is clearly on the business here, not the customer. strong businesses don't point fingers at customers when business errors are made. rather, they look to resolve things internally and quietly.. learn and move on. taking responsibility for one's own mistakes is the most important message here. saying the customer 'stole' the money is patently false.

now, is it in good taste for the customer to broadcast and flaunt this mistake publicly? no. does BI sound like a good book? yes. but that doesn't change the above.

Books don't give a shit about each individual player let's look at tactics books will use:

1) You're winning too much - they limit you.
2) You're winning way too much - they ban you.
3) You've won too much - they'll only allow you to withdraw small amounts each week. Case in point was an SBR poster this summer who had won over 100k in his account. The book limited him to withdrawing a whooping 2.5k/week (this would take over 2 years to withdraw). Hopefully someone knows what happened and if the guy went busto.
4) The book makes a mistake posting a wrong line - they'll just cancel your bet.
5) The book gives you something they shouldn't because they fukk up - they think they should get it back (only after 9 pages does little jon come along and say it doesn't matter anymore) - he says this because he can't get the money back so only trying to save face.

Books are like the government, they run the show and don't care about Joe Blow. Astros has probably lost over 15k to BI and they cry foul when they screw up and give him 1.5k.

if a post up player sends you $1500 and then later in the week after you have the funds says omg I really wanted to send only $1300 please send the $200 back you have an easy mechanism to allow that correct, they dont need to do any rollovers, no hoops, no delay, u just send back the $200 and cover the fees?
