D tightened up in the second half. J Rich struggled last night and I see him getting back on track tonight against Kevin Martin who's one of the worst 2 guard defenders in basketball. Dwight's matchup is pretty laughable as well and he should dominate that. Houston can score points but I'm considering a play on the Magic spread.

Got a few plays on mind, but I like MAgic and Blazers the most. Rockets perimeter defense was pretty laughable last year, don't think that's gonna be fixed all of the sudden. Just a bit worried about Houston's second unit dominating Orlando's but I do have a good feeling about this.

I kinda wanted to bet the Grizz since they dominated San An last year but don't wanna really go against the Spurs on their home opener with the everyone well rested.

I also think the Blazers win and cover tonight. With Camby starting Aldridge can play PF and his size will give him advantage against Brand

With the Suns roster a mess right now and confusions about certain rotation, I expect Doug Collins to have a solid strategy to attack the weak interior defense of the Suns. The Suns lost to a Hornets team that couldn't move the ball at all. It was essentially all isolation. Trusting the rookie in that situation to make a cross court pass to Nash for 3 at the end of the game is simply stupid. There are few guys in the NBA that can make that pass under pressure. Nash is going to have trouble today getting much more than 15 and 10 against a very strong and quick handed defender in Drew Holliday. Frye struggled shooting the ball but I expect him to get some open looks today. On the other hand, Elton Brand has a serious advantage down low in this game against anyone they want to throw at him. Jared Dudley is too big to be starting at the 2 and I don't like that lineup change from last year. Lopez and Gortat played well against the Hornets but they each will not duplicate those performances. Spencer Haws was 1 assist away from a triple double against the Blazers I believe. The challenge gets much easier for Philly today playing a team that likes to take a lot of jumpers versus a slashing team like Portland who gave Philly a lot of trouble with their penetration.

Dudley and Grant will both have important assignments in this matchup with Andre and Evan Turner. Don't forget about Meeks who is a knock down shooter. Nash will have trouble guarding Holliday on the offensive end. We are talking about a 6'5 pg here who weighs atleast 220. Philly has one of the best bench in the NBA by far with Thad Young, Turner, Lou Williams, and Speights. All four of these guys would start on 50% of NBA teams. Nevertheless, the PHX bench has gotten worse. They are used to guys like Dudley and Frye sparking their bench and now those guys have been forced into the starting lineup and the strength of their bench has completely deteriorated. Shannon Brown and Childress are both solid players but have undefined roles with this team.

The Suns could be one of the worst teams in the Western Conference this year. Their roster is absolutely terrible and I don't see them being able to hang with Philly tonight.
