I thought you missed the Colorado game? That's the one that really hurt me to lose both the total and the side. My other big plays split with the Baltimore over and Marlins under and Dodgers side and Baltimore side. I thought you said you missed the Colorado bets, so I'm hoping for your sake you did. Freeking one run loss in Colorado, even though they had two guys on base in the ninth inning...a couple hits there and we cash both but it's just been that sort of week.

There are about 60% of all bets on the over in this game. However, it's the second game of a double-header and the pitchers are coming in fresh. Both Verlander and Beckett have been dealing. As long as both of these guys can give their teams 7 full innings, we should see a low-scoring game here. I've had a tough day but I'm not going to let the affect me. It's a long season win or lose, so one day is not going to make or break us. We just need to win this one and win our upcoming play in the Reds/Braves game. Good luck. I know...I've been looking at it all day.
First you had a line that opened at 7 yesterday and ended up going up to 7.5 despite 70% of all bets on the under at the time. These types of jumps have been hitting lately and I have been missing not playing them bigger. For example, the Baltimore game today had that same jump and hit easily. Yesterday, you had the same type of move in this Braves/Reds series, only the move went from 7.5 to 8 and the game over hit easy with 13 total runs. In baseball, more than any other sport, line movement plays a big role and you have to incorporate it. However, line movement is not the only reason I like the over here.
The Reds lineup is formidable and their bullpen is not. I think you see the Reds lineup put up at least three runs tonight against Jurjjens. Plus, although Cueto has been pitching well, he generally gives up at least 3 runs per start and his games have the tendency to play to the over. He has gone over in 3 out of 4 starts this year with those three overs hitting 10, 9, and 8 runs respectively. I think the Braves can get three runs off Cueto and once the Reds bullpen comes in, they might score more.
I was waiting all day to get 7, but it just never fell back down. I'm taking a chance a little bit here that we get screwed by the hook, but I think we see at least 8 today. There are still 60% of the public on the under at game time, so we also have a bit of the public fade factor at play here as well. Everyone thinks because Jurrjens is on the mound, it will be a low scoring game. However, Jurjjens has actually pitched to just as many overs as unders and all of Jurrjens games that he pitched an over exceeded 8 runs.
Finally, if you check the trends of these two times, the Reds are on a big over trend run in a bunch of categories and have hit 7 of their last nine. I just think all those factors give me a nice spot to be aggressive here. I also like the Reds too, but felt that sticking with the over was the better chance at larger profit.
I'm not going to watch either of these late games. I think we may go out to see Hangover 2. Anyone see it yet?Comment -

Back from dinner...I see we need to get some damn runs in the Reds/Braves game. Cueto pitched a bit better than I thought and so did Jurjjens. Cueto is at 100 pitches, so I hope Dusty takes him out soon so we can get to the pen. Same for Atlanta.
With the other game, it's just the opposite. We just need Beckett and Verlander to continue doing what they're doing.Comment -
