I don't keep a total. Sometimes, some of my colleagues will ask me to total things up, and I do that for them if it is someone that I know well. No one cares about me this year.
For NBA games I am + a few units, nothing to brag about. This has been a tough season. But, I have had a few great hits on other sports and the NBA quarters action is going great as always so this is a good year.
I am thinking about dropping the NBA games to only taking the most lopsided game listed every day. I think we would be up tons if we were doing that.
I do something that I don't post because I don't want anyone losing these huge plays. If I lose a play at 7 PM and there is a play starting later that I really like I will take it large enough to make up for the loss. This usually works but sometimes it doesn't. And a lot of the people on SBR are overbetting their bank and follow people blindly.
I play the Quarter plays and the Half plays in a way that most people cannot use, so I don't post them. Those plays are red hot. I don't know why so many people cannot find a place where they can play the next NBA quarter right as the current quarter ends. And play the 2nd half when the 2nd quarter ends. And play the 3rd quarter when the 1st half ends. And play these quarter and half plays on the money line. Everyone complains that they cannot do that.

I was listening to a Hendrix song, the song was live and I don't usually listen to that song live and Hendrix gave a shout out to the Black Panthers like he was one of them. What the #$%^&? I think I'll post a song each day and see if anyone likes it. Yesterday's song seemed to be a big hit with all the perverts on SBR.
I only like one song that this band did. I always thought that if this band had played heavy, grungy, hard hitting rock and roll they would have been excellent, but I HATE/DESPISE/CAN'T STAND the stupid music they play, except for this one song.
Mark Farmer or whatever his name is totally blows but the bass player and the drummer are awesome together on this song.
What I wouldn't give to have an album of songs from GFRR at this intensity level instead of the stupid crap they usually play.Comment -

Quarter plays are awesome and can be absolute GOLD, if you stick with them.
In another thread Curious, myself and a few others reveal where to buy the quarters online and at B+M's. 3rd Quarter lines at the half are available virtually everywhere and 4th Quarters are available but a bit more scarce. Bet365 is one place to pick up these lines but the juice there is outrageous !!!

You can do them yourself. Go to teamrankings.com and get the 1st quarter stats for each team by home and away. Then matchup the 1st Quarters and take any team that is a good + number playing a team that is a bad - number.
For the 2nd Quarter play any team that lost the 1st Quarter. Including the games that you did not have a play in the 1st Quarter.
For the 3rd Quarter take any team that lost the 2nd Quarter and 1st Quarter. For the 4th Quarter take any team that has lost the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Quarter. You can parlay the losers if you want. Or play the 3rd Quarter so that you get even on the 2nd Quarter loss. Then play the 4th quarter so that you get even on the total of the 1st and 2nd Quarter loss.
Play favs on the money line and dogs + the points.
Research each team and see if there are any teams which have lost all the quarters in a game more than the average number for all the teams. A few years ago there was one team that routinely lost all the quarters in one game, we didn't play that team. I forget who it was, Clippers maybe.Comment -

Teams that lose all quarters in a game
Total number of games, 593. Total number of games where one team lost all 4 quarters, 32. 32 divided by 593 = 5.39%. Some idiot told me that this rate was 25%. Gawwwwddd, someday I will learn not to believe anything that SBR idiots say.
Now, one thing which I cannot account for is the + spread on dogs. You MUST take dogs + the points when playing the quarters.
I need to find the spread by quarter for all games someplace because we will be cutting the 5.39% number down quite a bit. If anyone knows where we can find this let me know.
Looking at teams that have lost all quarters in a game this year we get some surprising results. Here are all the games where this happened, sorted by loser (loser is the left most team, I am not tracking whether they were home or away). This does not account for taking dogs + the points. I don't have a way to get the quarter spread game by game. You cannot use the game line and just divide it because the quarter lines are based on what has happened in the previous quarter, the game line often doesn't mean anything.

I also sorted these by which team CAUSED the losses in all the Quarters and the top teams that do this are:

Heat 3 times
Lakers 3 times
Let me see if I can find the spread by quarter and I can throw out all the games where a team lost all 4 quarters straight up but won one of the Quarters + the points.Comment -

I often tell people to take one side or another before the lines are released. I figure that most people are smart enough not to take lines that they are not comfortable with.

I ran the quarter stats you were looking for, look up a couple of posts.
Halves are a bit trickier. For example, Detroit wins the 1st Half a lot, but almost always loses the 2nd Half.
One place to get started is teamrankings.com and look at their 1st Half page. They dont' list a 2nd Half page, so I just copy all the quarter stats and then add it up myself. This gives you a rough idea of teams that win the 2nd Half. But then you have to look at other things.
There are some big favs that don't start playing seriously until they get behind. Crazy. Anyway, you have to run a lot of stats to be able to predict the halves, sometimes I do this if I have time, sometimes I just take whatever teamrankings says.

I always put that qualifier, "to win N if fav, risk N if dog", when a line is not listed. It saves me typing and thinking to have to look at what the line should be, blah blah blah. (Oh, N means "number of units", I figured that you would not understand that).
