Advice on getting good lines

On many plays that I make I get a much better line than the first book list on SBR sports betting odds, the list that starts with Pinnacle and ends with Bodog.

I have found that there are many good Internet books out there that are not on SBRs 3 page list of books on sports betting odds.

Also, there are two other places to place wagers that most readers on SBR do not use. I cannot understand this.

Anyway, a local has to balance his action, so every local that I know moves his lines as action comes in. So, if you like a dog and everyone is on the favorite you can probably get a much better line from the local right before the game starts. Anyone who has real money needs to be working with at least 2 locals and checking their lines.

Also, there are a great many books in Vegas. Most books do not handicap games, they follow someone big and just post the line that they see somewhere else. If you are fast you can sometimes get a great line in Vegas. You will need to have a partner who lives in Vegas but I found that is not difficult to do if you are good and you are diligent.

If you shop around and you use all 3 approaches you can sometimes get great lines. For a lot of players this won't matter much, they are going to lose anyway. But for people who are > 50% season after season this really does matter.

I am sorry but I cannot answer specific questions about where to place your action.

I play almost all the NCAA basketball games every day. I am planning on totaling it.

I don't have to put the money up first at most of the places I use. So, as long as I am up + units at the end its cool.
