It sure is different not having to deposit with anyone this year. I can plan on going with the best one that I choose with to stay a pro here in October. I am looking forward to the upcoming season. It is going to be an enjoyable contest and even though it is for points it is worth it considering that the govt. had been a bunch of jerks with the off shore industry.

Agreed. I rarely "complain" on or about anything SBR does, but this contest, given the way its set up this year, should be available to Pros only imho. Oh well, they'll see what kind of behavior this will encourage and learn from the mistakes next year. Still looking forward to it, and still very very grateful as always for btp and all free contests.

no, it's dependent on how much you beat him by.

the ones that do the best get the biggest cut.

not quite. the ones who score higher get more points. It's proportional to your score ( among all those who beat him and have positive units)

I commend SBR's generosity in sponsoring the contest themselves with only a minor decrease in prize value. On the other hand, it really makes one wonder about the health of the industry (for US players) if SBR can't find a sponsor for their best and most popular contest of the year.

Also, I would gladly trade every single store item for the chance to buy sportsbook cash at the price you "unfortunate" Europeans get to buy it at.

Deposit wasn't "required" before - you just got points instead of cash if you didn't deposit.

If entries are up, it's because SBR is more popular overall, IMO.

I'm guessing the reason there's no sponsor is the same reason US citizens can't buy sportsbook cash or freeplays from the store anymore, any sponsor would obviously want the prizes to be sportsbook cash or freeplays.
