I haven’t rooted this hard for any team to score two runs since the ninth inning of game seven in the 2014 World Series.

Just when I was about to criticize Tatis for disappearing in the playoffs he comes up and hits a 3 run bomb when his team needed it most. Hopefully the Pads complete the comeback I need this win because I have a Padres World Series future and I bet them in this game.

This has been impressive. Padres need to hang on here but it won't be easy because you can never count the Cards out of a game with the at bats they put together.

Cards are loaded with seasoned veterans that all have been in bright lights big city ball games and know what to do and how to do it.
Molina, and Carpenter, and Wain-o, and those guys are all class act baseball pros, you can never count them out.

                              Hang on SD !!!

Great win for San Diego tonight. They never panicked and once they took the lead they added on just enough to outlast a very tough St. Louis team. Can't wait for the next game because I think the winner of this series has a very real chance to beat LA in the NLDS. Neither of these two teams will be intimidated by facing LA and I think either will give LA a run for their money. I hope it's San Diego because their fans deserve a winner and not only that they're a likeable group full of players that are fun to watch.

I'd pay cash money to see any A's pitcher put one in Correa's ear.

You do that and your done for the series and probably the season since the league has gone out of their way to protect the Astros this season.

Kershaw looked dominant tonight although I'd like to see him do that against a team with a lineup full of professional hitters like the Cards or Padres in the next round before I declare his playoff struggles over. Still he pitched phenomenal tonight in shutting down the Brew Crew.

3:48pm: The White Sox announced that Jimenez exited with right foot discomfort. The news looks worse for Crochet, who left with forearm tightness.
3:20pm: White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez and left-hander Garrett Crochet exited early in the team’s make-or-break Game 3 against the Athletics on Thursday. It’s not yet clear why they departed.
Jimenez led off the third inning with a double before walking off with a trainer. It’s worth noting Jimenez missed time late in the season with a mid-foot sprain. If the White Sox advance, they’ll need him back in their lineup, as the 23-year-old turned in a brilliant second season with a .296/.332/.559 line and 14 home runs in 226 plate appearances.
Crochet, meanwhile, departed in the second inning after striking out both batters he faced. He was throwing in the 96 to 97 mph range, and his fastest pitch clocked in at 98.9, per Scott Merkin of MLB.com. Just about any pitcher would be pleased with that type of velocity, but it’s a notable step down for Crochet, who averaged 100.2 mph on his fastball during his brief regular season. The 21-year-old threw 85 pitches in the season after debuting a couple weeks ago, and 69 of them came in above 98.9 mph, per Sarah Langs of MLB.com (via Merkin).
Crochet, whom the White Sox chose 11th overall in this year’s draft, quickly reached the majors and, thanks in part to his all-world velocity, made a major impact for the White Sox. He ended the season with six shutout innings of three-hit ball across five appearances, in which he totaled eight strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter. He clearly looks like another young star for the up-and-coming White Sox to build around, so the hope is that Crochet didn’t suffer a serious injury in his playoff debut.

Bring in some end of the bench reliever who'll never see any post season action going forward anyway and brain Correa is what I say.

He clearly looks like another young star for the up-and-coming White Sox to build around, so the hope is that Crochet didn’t suffer a serious injury in his playoff debut.
hope Crochet is okay for next year
