Considering an all Vikings fantasy team

I have the authority to take ownership of any team considered to be tanking. But why would anyone do that with the 600-point weekly high score prize?

Be funny if you took control of a team you thought was tanking and their tanked lineup ended up winning. Then what would you do??? Lol

Would take more than just me believing someone is tanking, it would be put to a league vote. But if the league agrees and I end up taking the inherited team to the Championship, yeay me. especially if I beat my own team in the final.

A few of my leagues over the yrs have involved teams ahead by so much before the playoffs where they are guaranteed a bye or teams guaranteed to make the playoffs deliberately set an illegal lineup to ensure certain teams don't get in or to ensure a matchup with what they perceive to be a weaker team

I myself have participated in this controversial practice over the yrs with mixed results. It generally doesn't tend to work out but it has on occasion. In one case a 5 seed successfully tanked and won it all bc of it. Mathematically would've been eliminated in the first round of he hadn't

That's your right to do that. As long as you are active as team manager no one can tell you who to play. If you have kicked ass and your record allows you to do that I dont see why you shouldn't be allowed to

I completely agree. However there are many who would disagree over competitive fairness whatever that means. I was just wondering what the general outlook on such behavior would be here. Chances are low that it even comes up in either league one or the hamburger league

It’s an issue if someone leaves players with byes in their lineup. Has happened a few times before. Can’t say if they were tanking or just inactive.

Not a big fan of it either. But, it seems like a luck of the draw situation rather than someone intentionally tanking. Some people just don't care when they are completely out of it... or have a sh#$ team.

No weekly high score is a good incentive to prevent tanking/disinterest

Yes I agree, just threw that out because it seems some still lose interest with bad teams even with the high score bonus.

Yes this is good incentive but knocking someone out of the playoffs by not playing your best team is better than the 600 point prize

When it happened I don’t think we had weekly prizes. Or they were really low. It was when entry was 1000 I think.

Good point. Never thought of it that way. I felt there was always one team that was a disaster. I think even the owner knew they couldn't win a high score prize any week. That's why they never really tried setting line ups.

2) With 16 rounds 90 seconds per pick is way too long. If the shot clock in the NBA is 24 seconds, no reason to take

3.5 times longer for a fantasy selection. Anyway Best of luck gentlemen.
