Yes and he got banned from SBR a week or 2 ago.

Thankfully shari is making sure the winners get paid and letting the league continue.

Actually should only be the League II champion because if 2 new guys join, there would be a good chance that a long-time member gets knocked out.

Well rules would be the same, new guy(s) would be added to League I list but would still have to be among the first 11 to post up.

Maybe instead of relegation, the champion of the Hamburger League can have his name added to the eligible list for League I. The same rules still apply with the first 11 to post up, get in. If the reigning Mayor McCheese isn't one of the first 11 to post up, tough luck.

You can take it another step, if they are not one of the first 11 to post up, their name is taken off the list for subsequent seasons since they are not official alumni.

This is really only an issue if all 11 join the first day the leagues are announced. Unless you are saying you may go DAYS without logging in? It took several days to fill League I this year.

I'm down with this. It gives somebody new a chance, but it's a limited time offer and if they don't post up in time the following season, too bad.

LT usually posts and gives us a few days/week heads up that he will be starting the official sign up thread. There are actually quite a few alumni, seems like there were at least 20 names of those eligible, so it's always kind of a race to be one of the first 11. It would suck to miss out, but the good part of being an alum, once you're an official alum, you're always an alum.

If the reigning Mayor MCCheese misses his chance next season, he wouldn't be an official alum and would have to be League II Champ again to become eligible again.

After considerable thought I completely disagree with the league 2 guys given the opportunity to enter the league. We’ve all played here going on 3-4 years and for the most part have all had fun. I’m sure many have played in other leagues for years with the same players. Of course if a team dropped out then so be it.

i did like the idea of relegation even better. i know for me personally i kept myself focused to staying out of the bottom 2. Philly if i knew there was no relegation i would have taken the 200.00 offer to tank like stealthy

Thing is, League I has always been like a typical office league with most of the same guys in every year, while League II has been a public league. So I could understand Philly's displeasure with longtime regulars being knocked out. I don't know yet, would like others to chime in. So far sounds like 2 NO (Philly, Greaser), 1 YES ($$$).

If it were instituted by chance, I'd like to implement an exemption rule for previous champions of the league. Like, for instance, you are in the bottom 2 or whatever and if you've won the league you get immunity that one time. But if you finish in the bottom 2 again the next year you're out. The more championships you win, the more immunity you years you get if you fall in the bottom 2 etc

Or, even better, any and all previous champs get lifetime immunity.

I’m good with keeping the league as is (with the same players) because it brings rivalry. However, I do want it to be with owners who are always dedicated to the league. Not setting line ups or disappearing for months on end.

Yes my team sucked this year. Mainly because every guy I picked early (and Matt Ryan) bombed. However there was not one week that I didn’t try to make my team better. That’s the kind of owners I’d like to see. And this by the way was when I was changing jobs and trying to learn new stuff and turn over old stuff to another person. Many nights I was up at midnight on Tuesdays setting waivers.
