#1962Originally posted by ShortstopThis one stings a lot worse than last year for some reason...
Fukk! Now what?
Tough way to go out after winning 98 games, certainly makes a good case for a best of 3 wild card or some other kind of modification to the playoff schedule. Pirates had a helluva year, if they can get another top end starter they will be uber-tough next season.Comment -

#1974This was posing on the ESPN web site....
FANTASY BASEBALL
News: Garcia will pitch Game 2 of the NLDS, Benjamin Hochman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. (Thu Oct 8)
Spin: Garcia will battle with Mets' righty Noah Syndergaard in Game 2 of the NLDS on Saturday. The 29-year-old was excellent this year, posting a 2.43 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 129.2 innings, and he gave up two runs in seven innings during his only start against the Mets this year.
Right pitchers, right day, But the wrong teams.

#1976He is but Harvey is also an ace, the Mets staff is super strong. Imagine if Wheeler didn't get hut this year. DeGrom, Harvey, Matz, Syndergaard, Wheeler and Colon (who had really had a nice year all things considered).Originally posted by Andy117That was awesome. He's the true ace of the team.Comment -

#1977What the Rangers have accomplished so far this year is without a doubt, amazing!
Also, remember they have done this without Yu Darvish and Jurickson Profar.
Kudos to their manager, Jeff Banister!

By the way, Banister was a coach in the Pirates organization for 29 years prior...Comment -

#1990I looked at the Texas/Toronto game and thought I wanted to play the over if the line was 8.5 it opened 9 and went to 10, it still could get over but 10 is a lot tougher than 8.5 to get over. These 2 pitchers aren't the greatest right now.Comment -

#1992That was a very high number for a playoff game. The Rangers made double plays in 4 straight innings of it could have been a much higher scoring game than it was.Comment -
