I actually never bet on either team. I do my best to keep any bias out. But I'll be rooting them on for your bankroll and my sanity.

Yeah. Been pretty busy this week so capping has come when I've been exhausted late at night. Struggling to get from leans to plays. Maybe you can help with a few.

FIU -3.5 vs Duke. I thought this would be more like -7 or so before last week but FIU struggled a bit and Duke actually played fairly well. FIU is faster, more athletic, and just a better football team and they are at home.

Then I like Texas -9 or 9.5 @ Iowa State. Texas' defense has played great against some not so great opponents and their offense is coming around with the QB change. Iowa State has been prone to turnovers and I like Texas' D to keep that trend going. It's also a revenge game from last season but I wonder if Texas will have next weeks game against Oklahoma in their minds.

The last is Arizona State -18 at home against Oregon State. It's probably a no play given how many points were talking but Oregon State is just so bad. It's as simple as that haha.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. As for plays locked in I have USF -2.5 tonight, Colorado -3, UNC -6.

I really like your FIU play. They should bounce back strong and Duke is dealing with several injuries. I would be hesitant on Texas, because of the upcoming OU game as you mentioned. I'm with you on Arizona St. laying too many pts. There would be the potential for a backdoor cover. I'm not sure what to make of the Colorado game. I haven't seen them play much this year or Wash. St. for that matter. I can see UNC covering against E. Caro. as well. GL to you Mstone and sorry for responding so late (I didn't realize that you had posted a response).

No worries. I ended up playing FIU and Texas. FIU wasn't a tough decision. Texas, on the other hand, was. I'm thinking the revenge factor of last season should force them to not look ahead. I've watched Colorado 3 times now and feel confident they should cover against Wash St. The OSU game last week for them was someone misleading if you just saw the box score. Pretty sure OSU's starting field position in the first half was inside the redzone. Stupid special teams mistakes like a blocker running into the returner trying to field a punt cost them. BOL this weekend. Big day tomorrow between my plays and my 2 teams having big games!

CBASS, I've got Miss State -16.5 and Arizona State -3 locked in this week so far. Seeing if I could get your advise on a lean. I saw you played Rutgers last week so I was hoping you had a good feel for them. I'm leaning Pitt -6.5 @ Rutgers this week. Any thoughts?

Off the cuff, I like Rutgers getting pts at home. They seem to play at a higher intensity level @ High Point Solutions Stadium. Rutgers has a pretty stout defense, but their offense is rather weak. I see them turning this into a 'grind it out game' to keep Pitt from having too many possessions. I also don't see Ray Graham running wild like he did against USF. Pittsburgh has more talent, but I think this game will be closer than expected.

Thank you Shooms and BOL to you as well. Always good to see you around to discuss some matchups. I like Mizzou because they are more athletic and will be very focused for this game. They have had extra prep time and do a very good job of defending the running game. Also, Mizzou's balanced attack on offense is going to be extremely difficult for K-State to defend. The Wildcats are always a tough out at home, but I really can't see Missouri losing in this spot. Hopefully, you will nail that teaser with Missouri winning by 7.

For sure! I think this is a great 'under the radar' play. Hopefully the public will move that line up as you said. ML is not a bad idea either, because I actually think LA-Lafayette might pull this one out. This is a night game and the atmosphere will be crazy with all those lubed up 'Ragin Cajun' fans. LA-Lafayette already has 4 wins on the season and should make a bowl game this year for their first time ever. It is definitely worth a shot IMO.

I'm staying away from it. You'd like to think Penn State wins in Happy Valley but they just cannot move the ball. I didn't watch them this past weekend but from the Temple and Bama games I can't get a read on them. If you forced me to pick I would probably take Iowa and the points. It just seems like the value there.

Oklahoma is much more talented than Texas but I might jump on +10 in a big rivalry game. I also might jump on Florida +14. LSU should probably kill Florida with the freshman QB on the road in Death Valley but I feel like Florida will gameplan around that and keep it a decent game. Haven't decided for sure on those but they are just value picks in my mind.

Those plays look solid. I am with you on that Florida/LSU game. I was going to go with the UNDER, but I can't get the number I like. Getting 14 pts when this game is going to be a defensive battle with very few big plays is worth making Florida a play here.

I'm not big on CFB totals but I do like the under here. I locked it in at +14. Only one time since 2003 has this game not been within 14 points and that was a 2008 Florida win by 30. While LSU could definitely roll here if Weis doesn't do his best to protect the Freshman at QB, this is easily the toughest defense LSU has faced. I'm looking at the 19-6 LSU win at Miss St. and saying to myself I think Florida can put in a better effort even in Death Valley.
