I bought Cardano back in 2017. Still holding. Shocka was the one who put me onto it. knowledgeable guy when it comes to Crypto. Where is that guy anyways?

Do the fees to send go way up along with the price? What is/are the fees now to send say, $500 of BT-C?

The fee is a flat amount regardless of the total, assuming it's all from 1 input. You could send $1 million of BTC for this same cost I'm about to describe

Right now you are looking at spending $5 to $10 to send money to a sportsbook - if you want to be able to use it within a few hours. Otherwise you can throw a smaller fee of $1 to $2 on there and it'll be there within a few days.

So if you want that fee to be a low % of your total deposit, it behooves you to deposit a large amount

I also have noticed the BtC fees being higher than ideal of late. What would a Litecoin fee schedule look like?

BTW, Keiser Rpt today has a segment on Bitcoin in Nigeria. Looks like a lot of Nigerians using Bitcoin. Nigeria a potentially big economy in Africa.

Forgot about that. Then again, BTC seems more likely to appreciate in value - might be worth just eating the fees. Maybe keeping a small amount of LTC for bonus whoring

$5 to $10??? You are paying way too much. I just made a deposit a few hours ago with about a 90 cent fee and it was confirmed in 10 minutes. If it takes longer just use an accelerator. No reason to pay those guys $10.

The $5 to $10 is when I set the fee to an economy level - it could be even higher if I didn't tinker with it

How are you getting away with only 90 cents? Most books need 1+ confirmation to credit the funds

Litecoin basically follows bitcoin in terms of price movements for the most part. It's just a much better way to deposit at books.

Litecoin confirms a lot faster and it's cheap to send. Less than a dollar usually.
If you're like me and you send crypto 10 times a week it adds up.

I bought a bunch of sh*t coins in the alt/ICO frenzy of Jan/Feb '18. Still got 'em all. Most of them died harsh deaths.

Some are showing signs of resurrection.

OMG is almost back at my buy-in. iExec RLC is getting there. FUN came out of the deep red and is back to #114 on Coinmarketcap @ .037 cents. Kucoin Token has a chance to get back to my buy-in price.

Others that still got a long way to go: Po.et, Quantstamp, Blockmason Credit Protocol, Air Swap, Raiden, Power Ledger, Dragon, Request....

So, the lesson here, class, is that long shots and big multipliers are nice to hit but they are all sorts of risky.... Only play if you can afford to lose. If you want to make consistent money, stick to the top 10 or 20....

Good advice. If you decide to play the small caps, sticking to DeFi, DEX and NFT is the best way to go.

there is also nothing "consistent" about the top 10 or 20... all of those lost 85%+ a few years ago

Those were all top 20 cryptos that have rebounded. Everything went down during the bear cycle.

Back then, we were picking #83 and hoping it 100x'ed. No surprise when many went lower and stayed there......

Errr, I don't know about 95%. History says we have more bull market to go. Everything is going up right now. I'm a hodler so I am always zoomed out. Day to day ups and downs aren't my concern. The market will go up and then it will go down. Each bear market has higher value than the previous bear market.

My point was that if you have top 20 stuff, you have a better chance of making it through the bear cycle and surviving to the next bull market. Everything I bought in the top 20 two and three years ago is back in the green. Some well into the green. Except EOS. I need it to go up about another dollar to get even...

I'm done with speculating. I'd rather buy top 10 stuff during a bear market....
