1. Moyer with ERA of 7.5 will be hit hard by the Braves, Phillies will always get their runs, total will be over 9.5.
UNDER 9.5 -120
2. Condemned Astros have got lucky to win a few, no way they will sweep the Marlins.
Astros +101
I also like Dodgers.

Seems that SL +152 Garcia pitching against SF Lincecum pitching would be pretty good contrarian play. Garcia acutually has a better WHIP and ERA than Lincecum. SL 6-3 on the road.

Good morning contrarians. It has been stuck in neutral lately, after a nice comeback from a buried early start of the season. It seems the contrarians angles are 10-10 over the last 20 selections, +1.76 units. However, the marathon/sprint philosophy is still in place. One thing you can be rest assured, the Contrarian Observation Tower tracks its selection with a true record and true unit count.
We post early to grab an overnight line with the total in the Mets/Braves affair .The square combined ERA and the premium over slammmers, will serve up an apparent juicy over play.
We go contrarian and take the Under.
Under Mets 8.5 -109

We post a total play on the Yankees/Angels game. The combined ERA of 3, Petitte no hitter my balls clanging scenario, put the squares underbound.
Over Yankees 9.5 -101
Let's get rolling Contrarians.
For your information, the Contrarian Observation Tower will be holding a satellite meeting at the SBR Bash catered by the Nine Steakhouse at the Palms Hotel and Casino. TheLock is confirmed. Pimike is interested but I am awaiting a confirmation. Others interested, let me know. Hanging out constantly at the Nuggett can get onerous. Nine Steakhouse is the best steak in Vegas!
Great recordkeeping. You are a legit poster my friend. I am glad you are taking advantage of SBR's forum. I enjoy your input. Just remember, it's not how good you hit the good ones, it's how bad you hit the bad ones.
Beware O Contrare

Thanks Pair, that means a lot. Probably played too many games yesterday, and took one on the chin (lost two totals plays by a combined 1.5 runs, lost a 1-runner and my Braves beat themselves - but them's the breaks, that's the biz we're in).
Can't take this lying down, know what I mean. The splits on Leblanc were too screaming to pass on, 4.47 difference in ERA hm/rd, Cueto is going to have a much better season than last year when he just plain ran out of gas, he has the stuff for sure. Padres flying a bit too high imho.
Also playing the Braves on the runline, I think their plate discipline is perfect against a pitcher like Niese. Last night they shot themselves in the foot (among other stuff a horrible infield error which resulted in a 2 run seventh for NYM, they will be playing for pride today) - Jurrjens rebounded last outing (victim of two solo shots when he came out for the eighth, which he shouldn't have, but he pitched real well). Mets BP have put up stellar numbers, but they've also been taxed heavily.
Played:
ATL -1.5 +124
When the Nats leave LA, I'm going to jump on their unders.
There, Niese gone after 5 1/3, after throwing close to 120 pitches, even Melky doubled when his FB started clocking 87, Manny Acosta in the game now with a 20+ ERA, Braves up 1-0.
The Contrarians take the cheese with the Mets/Braves going under. For those you who tuned in a few days ago, today it was the Triborough Bridge.
Under Mets 8.5 -109 (W)

Man, I'm glad I didn't watch that last frame in Chi-town. SEA and the under looked golden. Over at the parlay-factory, we had a good night, though. So it won't be shut down due to bleak economic outlook just yet.
Welcome Contrarians after a 2-1 Saturday as we rev up the engines.
We take a stab at the total in the Dodgers/Nat affair. Contrarian indicators are present, combine 18 ERA and bias over records for both teams. They also throw in a premium on the under with - money.
Under Nationals 9.5 -116

The Twins outscore the Royal in all statistical category. The narrow -130 nibble line on the Twins is of the fishiest kind.

Dodgers -145.
Also looking at Boston today, Tim Wakefield will go to the BP when Matsuzaka now returns from the DL, so his start today might be the last game as a starter for him. Maybe some Fenway magic, little special sum sum in the air, a defence that really gets up for it and not a fierce hitting team opposing him.

I see you are hanging tough on the parlay circuit. Good for you. As you can see, I am on the total in Dodgers game. Fishy line in the Red Sox game. Staying away.

FYI
For those of you who are not familar with my recordkeeping, I keep an excel spreadsheet breaking down selections based on the following categories in order to see which part of the "contrarian machine" is working effectively. To date here is where we are. In past years I would put this info in the signature and update it daily. This year I decided to post from time to time.
Feel free to chime in, all points of view are welcomed.
Dogs 10-19 34.48% -5.24 units
Favorites 5-2 71.43% +2.76 units
Run Lines 1-4 20.00% -2.35 units
Totals 6-9 40.00% -3.41 units
Will this be the first Cedarstrom play of the year?

We put the contrarian selection on the total in the White Sox/Mariners game. Here is the Under case:
Combined ERA - 5.22
Combined WHIP - 1.9
Slightly Under Bias with Seattle
Under/Over money - 77% on the under
This clearly makes this game, "The Game that can't go Over".
Here is a special detail that I have been waiting for over the past few weeks. Gary Cedarstrom is the home plate umpire Gary has a tight strike zone that will aid the Over boys in this game that can't go over.
Over White Sox 7.5 -105

Good Luck - I just stay away from CWS games cause I'm never on the right side. Hmm, maybe I should be playing totals!
