Not much going on tomorrow, but I like these home dogs:

Baltimore +105
Seattle +125

Note that I am 0-3 on Baltimore thus far, and 0-3 on Houston thus far. I have been stubborn so far and kept playing them although they have quickly slipped to the bottom in nearly every statistical category. Tampa Bay Rays however are not that great and Baltimore should have a chance. They need to start driving in those runs, too many LOB. Seattle is a dangerous play because their opponent, Oakland, is one of the top money makers 1 week into the season, but I look for that to change and for the short term variance to settle out.

I am grabbing an overnight line that is a contrarian total play. Petitte goes for the Yankees with 10 as the number. New York pounce money will be sending under giving the contrarian an over opportunity which is not common.

A challenging year to say the least. The angles we are working with are off to a snail start. I am committed more than ever to dig out of this negative unit hole. The contrarians will stay true to its selection criteria with sound money management. As you have noticed, I am down 14 units to date. Now some of you out there with you 5 unit, 10 unit or 20 unit plays can get to even or better with just one recorded win. Not here, one game, one unit. You will truly be able to state that if I followed the contrarian and bet X per game, this is how I would turn out. This is a subject matter that has been on my mind for years. I see the hucksters out there in SBR who display deceiving records. I would be nice to see this subject be discussed within the threads, perhaps even the upcoming Bash. I know the Bash is for fun, but I would love to see a live forum be conducted on a variety of subjects, money management, official unit count, selection philosophy, etc.

5's I agree that records should only be displayed with 1 unit wagers. It is distorting to include 10 unit bailouts in your record and claim "oh it's okay I hit my big plays". I see it happen all the time. The other thing I see is "I lost 10 units today, but thank god I bet on Asian tennis for 20 units that I didn't post here"

At the same time I do bet more on certain games. I've made one 5 unit wagers and a few 2 unit wagers. I don't think it's proper to flat bet every play. But for record keeping I think everything should be 1 unit. Kind of like how certain touts do it, like Dr Bob, where he says he's 10-6 on Strong Opinions and 30-20 on 1 star plays. You can vary your wagers, but the record should be flat.

I agree totally. I of course do not flat bet. Different amounts for different reasons. However, the unit count for recordkeeping hs one unit per game. You are the first person who in it's entirety has stated my long standing opinion on this matter. As ridiculous as it sounds, SBR should establish a "preferred" unit count method. The 20 unit Johnnies need to be exposed. And yes, a meet at the bash is in order. And a day at the book. My man TheLock is their too.
