Hey TA, good luck on this, I will be tailing. I'm going in a little different direction that I don't do often.

    Parlay: Minnesota & NYY

Both Minn & NY playing at home. Blackburn is a totally different pitcher at home (5-0) and Davies has been struggling and is 0-3 on the road. Chamberlain is 3-0, 2.55 ERA, 1.15 WHIP in his last 3. Richmond is 1-2, 4.76 ERA, 1.47 ERA in his last 3. Back in May Richmond gave up 5 runs to NY in 1.2 innings. Yankees one of the hottest teams over the last 2 months.

PICK: NYY & MINN Parlay (1 unit)
    Record: 38-24-2 (+23)

Good Luck Everyone.........Football is right around the corner........
Glad it cashed for everyone Foghorn. Continued success to you the remainder of the season.

Or, are you always listing the amount to risk, regardless of whether or not the teams is a -- odds or + odds? So, if Team A was +120 I would risk 10 units to win 12. And if Team A was a fav of -120 I would risk 10 to win 8.33?
      Good evening curious,

Correct unless other wise stated. Listed dogs have risked amounts and fav's are played to win.

Come hockey season there are times when it goes as your second paragraph states and are marked as such. One of the contests there last season had a limit of risked units run by xxx - hopefully he'd bring it back again for this season.

Actually I was asking about what you thought of the baltimore pick and then I scrolled up and read your post about it . But that was a good pick TA you cashed huge on that one. I didn't cash nearly as much but I hit a good amount on it.

Yeah man. Bummer day. Trick is to not let it affect you other than in a positive way. Some may chase their next day; some just keep fishing for the picks. I do a little of both. I hope the Cubs win today.

By the way, anyone know what the deal is with these points? Just kinda seems like a not so good idea...to me at least.

Fine if you do, fine if you don't. Everyone has to do things a way that works for them. It's not easy to stray from "mainstream" thinking because masses of people will try to tell you it won't, you can't, etc., but you're seeing the proof unfold in front of you. This way works for us. It might not be for everyone but we like the results. Where did you're muse go?

Here's something, I'll share with you tonight that I did. Earlier in the day at one book I took STL to win $500 - high line, blah, blah, blah - knowing the dog numbers would keep getting pushed upward. Finally, I was able to get a number that would generate a profit, $100, for me if CIN won or be even from the two wagers. This type of situation happens more than one realizes and if a person is on their game, they can turn out several extra units over the course of a month/season.

I did re-tap MILW for another - essentially using the money from above (although not the same book).

Again, what I do is not for everyone but it works well enough for my family and I.

Both, as I grew up playing the game. I topped out playing for the Soo, never got chance to go big, blew out some parts, was stupid and didn't give an honest rehab effort because "it hurt" - no shit dick tracey, you gotta re-train the body. I help out with a couple teams in the area working mostly with their net minders and defense men. When the season is done, we have a game between the players and coaches (sometimes we only have 7 or 8 suited up for the game but we haven't lost in over a decade). One thing I know this does is show the returning players that it's not lip service and we can still get the job done - just not everyday as we're "old".

For as TOR chances, they've added many new parts and I need to see them a few times before forming an opinion. MON was bitten by the injury bug last season and never had the chance to go forward. My favorite team is the one who made us some money for the night. While I like the Wings a lot, I am not a homer and have blasted the sports radio talk shows when they try to put on their homer eyes. Hope you'll chip in on the ice thread as well.

Thank you and he's in a meeting right now with his new sponsor, my wife, and she's a real bitch about the program. since his other three didn't bother calling him back or lift a finger to help him, she asked, he said yes and *bam*, it was done. no issues nor problems - that's why i know he's going to make it for 4-6 month before the slip comes into play. I do and again, thank you.

Damn man, sorry to hear about your cousin. Definitely had no idea and meant it completely sarcastically. No addiction is easy to overcome, just ask your everyday sports bettor. Your experiences with hockey and injury are a testament to what separates those who make it in a sport and those who don't. I was quite the soccer star -- yeah, soccer -- but similarly had a brutal injury and never let it fully heal and rehab. But then again, when you're younger, you don't really know how to take care of yourself nor care. Professional athletes that make it are those that genetically have the advantage to heal/avoid injury or the drive to overcome injury the right way.

With that said, I'll definitely be all over the hockey thread. I'm still waiting for Balsillie to bring a team to Hamilton (grew up there), but it's never going to happen. One word. Bettman. Hate. Leaf tickets cost an arm-and-a-leg and aren't worth the perfomance that they bring to the ice. I'm hoping that they turn it around so I can catch some games giving that I live about a 5 minute drive away. As far as Detroit, you guys are spoiled with the best scouting crew in hockey for the past decades. I've driven down to catch a few games and it's always a great show. Seems like the fan support is fading but I guess you can blame the economy for that. This year should be interesting. Can't wait.
