Fallsview Casino lies in the heart of Niagara Falls Canada, smack in the middle of one of the top tourist destinations in North America. It is a 2,500,000 square foot facility, complete with a 200,000 square foot

gambling facility, 372 rooms at its destination hotel, a 5,000 seat entertainment facility, a huge fitness spa, 30 shops and one nightclub.

Fallsview has been and will continue to be an elite destination resort whose reputation as an elite sports and casino gambling facility will only continue to grow.

The addition of a mobile sports betting brand, Play Fallsview and the potential of a retail sportsbook could cement their status as one of Ontario’s biggest and best all-around gambling facilities.

Of note, Kambi has brought a pair of exciting betting features to the Ontario market. First is their proprietary Bet Builder product and the second is what the company itself calls “an unparalleled hockey product” – both should appeal to punters in the growing Ontario market.

Online Betting Experience

Our Play Fallsview Sportsbook review 2022 had high hopes for the overall online betting experience. Being owned by Ontario Lottery, Gaming Corporation, and having experienced gambling-centric companies like Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment and Kambi Group in their corner perhaps set the expectations a little high.

Play Fallsview is available on Desktop and claims it has downloadable apps for both iOS and Android mobile devices. There are no downloadable mobile options available on the site itself, but we did find it on the App Store for iOS users. As for Google Play, the Customer Service agent we contacted assured us that Google Play did carry the PlayFallsview brand. We couldn’t find it.

Registering for the Fallsview Casino and Sportsbook experience was simple and what bettors can expect from any of the participating betting providers in the Ontario market. Expect 3-5 minute to sign up for the betting brand. All of the desired sports betting options and markets were there, and the site was responsive, intuitive, and glitch-free from our experience.

A handy search option on the site aids in the overall ease-of-navigation that we found with the Play Fallsview brand.

Website Experience

Our Play Fallsview Sportsbook review and the Play Fallsview online Casino website experience didn’t exactly blow us away. It falls into the “just OK” category. The interface is somewhat bland – there is a serious lack of glitz and flash that have become paramount for sites hoping to compete with the likes of FanDuel and DraftKings. Our first impression when landing on the site was certainly underwhelming.

But the old adage “you can’t judge a book by its cover” applies here. Once we got past the unflattering graphics, we found that the content, ease-of-use focus and available sports and markets led us to give the overall product a passing grade.

Simplicity may appeal to novice bettors but our Play Fallsview Sportsbook review 2022 hopes that the brand will step up their interface game in order to put it on par with the rash of competition it faces in the growing Ontario market.

Mobile Betting and Betting App

Play Fallsview and Fallsview Casino availability is a bit of an issue. There are no downloadable options on the website itself and we couldn’t find the product on the Google Play Store. But the instant play version directly on the website itself was OK.

The App Store does carry the brand for iOS users, but Android users will find it frustrating to either find or download the product on their mobile devices.

Accessibility is job 1 for a sports betting product and our Fallsview Casino review found that the product falls short in that regard.

Live Betting

Play Fallsview Sportsbook does offer critical live betting opportunities to its customers in the Ontario market. Our PlayFallsview review found a respectable number of live betting opportunities spanning all of the major sports that are important to the Ontario bettor.

Betting lines were updated in a timely fashion in our tests and necessary statistics are readily available with the brand.

Overall, we found PlayFallsview’s live betting to be a strength of the brand.

Casino, Poker, & Other Gaming Options

As an established name in the broader Ontario casino market, our Fallsview Casino review expected big things for the gaming options available with the brand. Again, like so many aspects of the site, we were left slightly disappointed by what we found.

Play Fallsview online Casino offers a respectable amount and variations of Slots, Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and Video Poker options. Not as many as we were hoping for but enough for us to put the online casino offerings in the “C” range.

While not elite, Fallsview Casino boasts a decent menu of casino gaming options, and we were happy to see some of the biggest and best online gaming software providers in the world represented.

Fallsview Casino Resort has been a mainstay in the Casino landscape in the Niagara region of Ontario since opening on June 10, 2004. As one of the most prominent structures in the Niagara skyline, and with a second-to-none view of the region’s iconic Horseshoe Falls, Fallsview has proven to be one of the most progressive gambling operations in Ontario.

Owned by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission and run by Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, the casino adopted a mobile sportsbook focus in May 2022 with the announcement of Kambi Group, a global brand with a presence in 17 U.S. states, as the provider of their mobile sports betting solutions.

The Play Fallsview online mobile sportsbook immediately became a viable name in a market that boasts such heavy-hitting sports betting names as FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars and BetMGM.

A retail sports betting facility is expected to become part of the Fallsview Casino portfolio as the company races to become Canada’s, and Ontario’s first on-site sports betting destination.

Customer Ratings & Reputation

With Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment and Kambi Group operating out of the Fallsview Casino, our PlayFallsview Sportsbook online review was expecting to hear and see some good feedback with the overall brand. But it appears that customers experienced the same thing we did during our tests – an OK, not great betting platform.

The App Store gives the Fallsview Casino a 2.7/5 rating. That seems about right from our experience. We searched hard for the app on the Google Play Store but couldn’t find it. We were assured by Customer Service that it was indeed there.

So, Play Fallsview and the Fallsview Casino don’t appear to have taken advantage of the high-level backing they have and have received so-so ratings across the board, ones that we tend to agree with.

Customer Service

Customer Service is an important aspect of a sportsbook and online casino offering. Play Fallsview reviews such as this are making it increasingly so. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation owns the brand – their other Ontario sports betting offering Proline+ offers much more in terms of customer service.

For now Play Fallsview Sportsbook and the Fallsview Casino offer just three customer service options – an underwhelming FAQ section, Email and Chat. Our PlayFallsview Sportsbook review was happy with the Chat option. It was prompt, friendly and informative but the FAQ section and Email leave something to be desired.

Our hope is that a Phone option becomes available, a stronger social media presence will surface and that the company significantly bolsters their FAQ section as the brand matures and becomes a bigger part of the overall Ontario scene.

For now, we put the Fallsview Casino Customer Service in the “disappointing” category.

Why Choose Play Fallsview?

Fallsview Casino is an established name in the Ontario legal gambling market, so our expectation was high when reviewing their sportsbook and casino options. Unfortunately, Play Fallsview failed to live up to expectations and fell into the “C” range of online gambling options in Ontario.

While the sports betting options and markets are good, customer service, banking and the overall look and feel of the online product leave something to be desired. Betting lines are competitive, and the brand does have the backing of the OLG, Mohegan Gaming and Kambi Group so we do anticipate the company evolving in the near future.

It is clear that Play Fallsview has some catching up to do, especially when compared to the rash of high-end competition available in the Ontario market. We do recommend that Ontario bettors give Play Fallsview a try, but we do caution them to temper their expectations.

The launch of Ontario’s and Canada’s first retail sportsbook would heighten the company’s status. Until then, our hope is that the “homegrown brand” does evolve and address the issues we have laid out in our Play Fallsview review 2022.
