Our review was satisfied but not blown away by the overall website experience.

Starting with the appearance of the FireKeepers sportsbook, we gave it an “OK” rating. There are certainly sexier, more modern interfaces available to Michigan bettors, but overall, the product is easy to read, uncluttered, and straightforward to use.

As far as navigation, FireKeepers maintains a simplistic approach throughout. The site’s simplicity comes at the expense of the “glitz and glamor” that define other sites in the market. We found FireKeepers software intuitive and very user-friendly – maybe even too much for the veteran gambler.

Transactions were smooth and glitch-free, and the site was responsive to our needs. Transitions between the sportsbook and online casino were also a breeze.

We're willing to give the brand a pass based on the size and scope of their betting platform. Fans of the incredible FireKeepers Casino likely won’t be bothered by a slimmed-down, simplistic approach to online gambling.

A live streaming option would be nice to kick the live betting options up just a notch, but the fantastic in-person sportsbook experience at the retail casino blows any live streaming app out of the water.

Casino, Poker, & Other Gaming Options

As a sports betting operator tethered to a retail casino, FireKeepers online casino had a lot to live up to. We found that the casino options fall a little short of expectations. The site boasts around 200 online casino options from some of the world's top online casino software providers, including a healthy amount of slots options (including progressive jackpots), table games (including blackjack, roulette, and video poker), scratch cards, and live casino options.

We found variations of each option but were slightly underwhelmed by the overall choice compared to other online casinos in the Michigan market. Like live streaming, if you want a quality casino experience, go to the retail casino for a taste of Vegas in Michigan.

FireKeepers Sportsbook is a respectable “small-scale” sports betting site. It falls short of elite status but checks many boxes necessary for customers in the state to at least consider the brand.

Their follow-up bonuses are lacking, their banking options are minimal, their interface is average, and their sports betting menu needs to be expanded.
