Sweden will look to advance out of Group F with a win, but my top Netherlands vs. Sweden prediction highlights why I expect the Netherlands to get the better of this matchup. These are two teams that can score at a high rate, which is why two of my best World Cup predictions below focus on Overs.

The Netherlands (-135) is favored in Saturday's 1 p.m. ET game at NRG Stadium in Houston. The match will air on FOX and Telemundo and stream on FOX One.

⚽ Who will win Netherlands vs. Sweden?

Sweden's opening match resulted in a 5-1 victory. Yet, while the Swedes were excellent, a lot of their success came from miscues by Tunisia. The Netherlands isn't going to make those same mistakes, and therefore I expect Sweden's opportunities to be limited. After all, while Japan scored twice against the Netherlands, they had just 0.59 expected goals.

Netherlands scored twice against Japan, and the Dutch now have multiple goals in five of their last six competitive matches. And with Sweden dropping four of their last eight competitive matches, I don't expect this to be close.

Score prediction: Netherlands 3 Sweden 1

💵 My best bet: Netherlands Over 1.5 goals (-125)

Sweden is a great matchup for the Netherlands. Sweden has allowed at least one goal in 12 consecutive matches, 10 of which were competitive games. The Swedes have also allowed multiple goals in six of those 10 competitive matches.

-125 is an excellent price for this prop, especially since the Netherlands won't back off late if they're up, as goal differential is likely to impact the final standings of this group.

🦶 Who will score in Netherlands vs. Sweden?

Follow all of our expert soccer betting analysis for the 2026 World Cup.

Cody Gakpo, F, Netherlands (+195)

Gakpo's match against Japan showed promise, as he ended with two shots, one of which was on target. Though Gakpo didn't score, he ended with 0.20 expected goals, and he finished with 48 touches, the most of any Dutch forward.

Gakpo has recorded nine shots and five shots on goal in his last three matches with the Netherlands. Two of those five found the back of the net.

Best Netherlands vs. Sweden goal-scorer pick: Cody Gakpo (+195 via DraftKings)

🥅 Will both teams score in Netherlands vs. Sweden?

While I believe this will be a comfortable win for the Netherlands, Sweden has enough offensive talent to at least score once in this game. Sweden has scored in seven consecutive games, five of which were competitive matches. The Netherlands aren't always sound defensively, allowing a goal in six of their last seven matches.

Both teams to score (BTTS) pick: Yes (-125 via DraftKings)
