Co-host Canada should get the job done tonight against Qatar, the worst team in the group. Don't be fooled by the point it picked up against Switzerland in its opener - it came on a stoppage-time own goal after giving up 27 shots, a 3.20 xG, and 68% possession.
It's going to play out like that again tonight. Canada will dominate possession, hustle to open balls, and in general make things difficult for Qatar. The biggest concern for the Canadians is actually generating meaningful chances, and it should do so tonight. Alphonso Davies is back, and once he takes the field (whether as a starter or off the bench), he should immediately step up the offensive value of the team, pushing high as a wing-back.

David is going to have to be instrumental for the Canadians if they're going to pick up all three points tonight. The Juventus forward had an off game on matchday 1, and still managed one shot (from his four shots) on target. He'll be looking for redemption tonight.
Qatar gave up a staggering 26 shots in their opener. David should find the way to two on target tonight with plenty of opportunity.

For the same reasons I'm backing David to get two shots on goal, I'm going to back him to put one in the net tonight. He's among Canada's purest goal scorers, although he had a bit of a down year with Juventus (just 6 goals in 20 games) compared to his years in Ligue 1, where he posted 13+ goals in five consecutive seasons.
He's never scored for Canada at the World Cup, but as the Canucks shoot for their first ever win on this stage, he'll lead the way

I'm not banking on both teams to score tonight. Canada will be pushing hard for its first win in the World Cup ahead of its home fans in Vancouver, a site where the national team has routinely produced excellent results with little in the way of opposition scoring.
Qatar was fortunate to pick up a goal in their opener as their offense looked plenty anemic, and I except more of the same tonight. With that said, the odds are pretty long. I'd be more inclined to want to play this in the -130 or better range.
