One of the Premier League’s biggest rivalries will resume Sunday, with my Arsenal vs. Tottenham prediction analyzing why the Gunners are at risk of stumbling at the Emirates Stadium against Spurs (11:30 a.m. on NBCSN).

Despite Arsenal being tipped to win as the -238 betting favorite, my Premier League best bets break down why the loss of their star defender will open the door for Tottenham to turn up the heat on the first-placed Gunners.

⚽ Arsenal vs. Tottenham preview & score prediction

Arsenal’s back line has been the catalyst for the team’s success, helping to vault last season’s runner up into first place with a four-point lead after 11 games.

But that lead is in danger of shrinking Sunday, especially with Arsenal defender Gabriel out injured, as I’m backing both teams to score in the North London derby.

Spurs primed to make things interesting

Along with keeping a Premier League-best seven clean sheets this season, Arsenal matched their club record earlier this month by holding opponents without a goal for eight consecutive games in all competitions.

However, cracks in Arsenal’s armor emerged when their streak ended with a 2-2 draw at Sunderland before the international break. And that was with talisman Gabriel in the starting team.

Tottenham’s chances of scoring were undoubtedly boosted after the Brazilian was ruled out. Spurs’ confidence was also lifted with news that several key players are set to return from injuries.

The best odds of both teams scoring at +100 odds are over at Caesars, where a winning $10 bet nets a profit of $10.

Score prediction: Arsenal 2, Tottenham 1

🆚 Arsenal vs. Tottenham matchup to watch

Bukayo Saka vs. Djed Spence

While their defense could struggle, expect Bukayo Saka to provide a spark and help Arsenal’s attack pick up where they left off before the international break

Injuries have been an issue for several attacking stars this season, but, thankfully for Arsenal, Saka has started to heat up after a brief spell on the sidelines.

Saka, who scored in two of the last three meetings with Spurs, should see plenty of action on the left wing when he goes up against Djed Spence on Sunday.

I expect that he’ll register a goal contribution Sunday at the Emirates, especially since he’ll be a focal point in Arsenal’s attacking scheme with stars such as Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, and Viktor Gyokeres dealing with injuries.

Best prop bet: Bukayo Saka goal or assist (-115 via DraftKings)
