NHL Player Props Today: Best Bets & Goal Scorer Picks for Wednesday

My NHL player props for today feature two young stars and a pair of wily veterans, one of whom is making a strong case to be included on Team Canada's Olympic roster. 

That's the Washington Capitals' Tom Wilson, who I'm backing to score in a fourth straight game. I've also picked Kyle Connor and Will Smith to light the lamp, while backing Leo Carlsson to add to his assists tally.

⬆️ Leo Carlsson player prop: Over 0.5 assists (-124) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm going back to Carlsson for another assist. He's been one of my most profitable prop bets this season, with the 20-year-old star notching 22 assists in 26 games. He has at least one helper in six of the previous seven, with eight in that timeframe. 

The Anaheim Ducks have a fairly favorable matchup at home against a Utah Mammoth team that has lost eight of the previous 10, allowing at least four goals in two of the last three games.

🔥 Kyle Connor (+151) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Connor has scored in two straight and could be heating up. He has 13 goals, with three of his previous five scored on the road. Connor rolls into Montreal to play a Canadiens team that lost to Ottawa on Tuesday. 

With the Canadiens losing the last two by a combined 12-4, it feels like a good bounce-back spot for the Jets. In addition, Connor enjoys playing the Habs, with five goals in the last five meetings, including three in the previous two. 

🔥 Tom Wilson (+190) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wilson's Team Canada audition is going exceptionally, with the bruising forward leading the Capitals in goals (16). He's four ahead of the Great 8 and has scored in four of the previous five, including three straight. 

Wilson added to his goals tally in Los Angeles on Tuesday against the Kings, and he's facing a San Jose Sharks team that allows 3.19 goals per game.

Smith is facing a Capitals team that played on Tuesday in Los Angeles, so he'll be hoping to capitalize on some heavy legs. FanDuel has the best odds (+210), which will profit $21 on a winning $10 bet.
