My NHL player props today feature three players on a roll and one who, despite it being only three games into the season, is overdue for a goal.

With five apples through just three games, nobody has more assists than Suzuki.

Captain Canadien was held scoreless in the opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs but exploded in the last two games, registering three and two helpers against the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, respectively.

One empty-net goal in the first three games isn't what Maple Leafs fans had in mind for their captain to start the season. In time, we'll find out whether Matthews can be as productive without Mitch Marner setting him up.

It's not like Matthews isn't firing rubber, as he had 14 shots on goal in the last two games against Detroit. 

An outrageous 26 attempts accompanied those 14 shots. At some point, especially with that swollen output, goals will come. And what better occasion than against a Nashville Predators team that he has four goals against in the last two meetings at Scotiabank Arena.
