🏆 Who will win Flyers vs. Hurricanes?

I have the Hurricanes winning Game 1 versus the Flyers by a score of 3-2. The Hurricanes have won six of seven matchups against Philadelphia over the last two seasons. With Carolina well-rested after its first-round sweep of the Senators, the Canes will be locked and loaded to grind out this series opener with a victory on home ice.

Score prediction: Hurricanes 3, Flyers 2

💰 Flyers vs. Hurricanes prediction & best bet

Under 6 (-128)

This matchup features perhaps the two best goaltenders of the first round. Frederik Andersen and Dan Vladar rank first and second in the playoffs, respectively, in goals saved above expected, per MoneyPuck.

Both teams play a physical brand of hockey that I think we’ll see from the jump in Game 1 of this series. There won’t be much room for either offense to get comfortable, and whatever limited chances these teams create will be difficult to sneak by two in-form netminders. That’s why Under 6 is my best bet for Game 1 at FanDuel’s -128 odds.

🔥 Best Flyers vs. Hurricanes player prop bet

Taylor Hall 1+ points (+104)

Taylor Hall spearheaded an incredible performance from the Hurricanes’ second line in Round 1. The winger was in lockstep with Logan Stankoven and Jackson Blake, finishing with seven points across four wins against the Senators. That trio drove Carolina's offense and combined for at least one goal in every game that series.

Hall has also been a consistent force against the Flyers, tallying five points in five meetings with Philadelphia since he joined the Hurricanes. I'm thrilled that FanDuel is offering plus-money odds on Hall to record a point tonight, so that's where I'm placing my wager.

🚀 Flyers vs. Hurricanes same-game parlay

I’m combining the Hurricanes moneyline with Under 6 to create a 2-leg parlay at FanDuel's +165 odds. I’m expecting a similar winning formula for the Hurricanes in Round 2 that we saw in Round 1: A tight, low-scoring game that Carolina wins in the margins.

💵 Flyers vs. Hurricanes SGP picks

💡 How I'm betting Flyers vs. Hurricanes

Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.

I’m staying away from the puck line in Game 1. Although I have the Hurricanes winning, I wouldn’t feel good about wagering on a multi-goal victory. The Flyers have been an elite against-the-spread team this season, and every matchup between the Hurricanes and Flyers in 2025-26 has been a one-goal game. That’s why my top play, in which I’m wagering a full unit, is on the Under.

The Hurricanes opened as a -200 home betting favorite at the best sports betting sites, and those odds have shifted further toward Carolina. The Over/Under is set at either 6 or 5.5, depending on the sportsbook, so clearly goals are expected to be at a premium tonight.
