I'm backing a somewhat low-scoring game in my Bruins vs. Panthers prediction despite the home team's recent struggles.
The two-time defending champions have been hit hard by the injury bug all season, but they are still the -125 moneyline betting favorite to win tonight's game at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla. (7 p.m. ET, TNT). While their current form doesn't instil confidence, I envision an ugly, defensive battle, especially if Panthers' backup Daniil Tarasov gets the nod in goal.

As it's the second night of a back-to-back, I expect Tarasov to start. He won four of his previous five starts and didn't allow more than two goals in those victories.
And it's gut-check time for the Panthers, who've been failing to overcome the stiff adversity they've faced recently. The latest on the long injury list is Sam Bennett, who left Wednesday's game with an upper-body injury.
Despite their personnel woes, the Panthers are due for a win. And for that win to happen, they must keep things tight defensively.
