The Panthers had the most shots per game on home ice last season, firing an average of 33.9. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, allowed 30.7 per road game, the fifth most. I don't see that changing much in 2025-26, expecting the Panthers to test former netminder Spencer Knight early and often.
And while both teams are fresh and ready to go, the Panthers should be buoyed by seeing their championship banner raised during the pre-game festivities.

In his last four games against Chicago, Verhaeghe fired 21 shots on goal. That's an average of 5.25 per game. He hit the Over on this total in three of those four, amassing a ridiculous nine shots in the last meeting. While the -146 odds are quite steep, I'm willing to accept the reduction in potential profits for the increased likelihood of success.
At FanDuel, a winning $10 bet will profit $6.85.
