Best Super Bowl Bets: Bills, Patriots Providing Betting Value in AFC

Yes, yes, the NFC is dominating the Super Bowl odds, and rightfully so, with teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Green Bay Packers having tremendous seasons. However, the value lies in the AFC as part of my best Super Bowl bets for 2025. Let's break down which teams I'm backing heading into Week 15.
Best Super Bowl bets: Is the AFC providing value?
Buffalo Bills (+850)
It's safe to say that as long as you have Josh Allen on your team, you have a shot. Allen, along with his defense capitalizing on mistakes, took down the Cincinnati Bengals in dramatic fashion in Week 14. When the dust settled, Allen totalled four touchdowns and ultimately put on a performance that makes you feel warm and cozy if you're a Bills Super Bowl backer like I am. Buffalo owns the fifth-ranked scoring offense in the NFL, and with games against the Patriots, Browns, Eagles, and Jets to round out the season - they still have a shot at the AFC East.
New England Patriots (+1000)
Led by NFL MVP odds contender Drake Maye, the Patriots have put together an incredible season, sitting at 11-2. However, they aren't as battle-tested as the Bills. They've beaten up on subpar teams like the Giants, Bengals (without Joe Burrow), Jets, Falcons, Browns, Titans, Saints, and Raiders. The real test comes in Week 15 against Buffalo. Are they a legitimate threat to win the Super Bowl? We'll find out on Sunday. If you truly believe in this team, now is the time to bet them prior to kickoff. If New England wins, you won't see these betting odds again.
Denver Broncos (+1000)
Can Bo Nix get the job done down the stretch for the Broncos? Out of the three teams listed here, this is probably the longest shot of them all in my books. However, if you truly believe in "defense wins championships," you're probably already invested in Denver. The Broncos own the fourth-ranked scoring defense in football, the best red-zone defense by scoring percentage, the second-ranked rushing defense, and have a top-10 passing defense. If Nix and his offense can even be serviceable, the Broncos have a shot at the Super Bowl.
AFC vs. NFC Super Bowl odds
The NFC owns all the chalk for the Super Bowl, and for good reason. The Rams are the scariest offense in football led by MVP favorite Matthew Stafford, and are sitting at just +390 to win the Lombardi Trophy after coming in at +600 just a few weeks ago. Seattle (+800) plays home to the future NFL Offensive Player of the Year in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, while the Packers (+800) may be the most well-rounded team in football.
For the purpose of this exercise, I wanted to take a crack at a handful of long shot and value plays in the AFC that have a great chance at meeting one of these teams in the Super Bowl.
