I'm backing Los Angeles to win and cover in my Rams vs. Falcons prediction for Monday Night Football from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN).

The Rams are the 8-point betting favorite to get back on track after their gut-wrenching Week 16 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks. As part of the NFL predictions for Week 17, I've featured a plus-money anytime TD pick.

🚑 Will Rams' injuries impact ability to cover?

Injuries are piling up for the Rams, most notably on the offensive side of the ball. Offensive lineman Kevin Dotson is out, and Davante Adams is doubtful.

Offensive lineman Alaric Jackson (ankle) and Braden Fiske (ankle) are listed as questionable, though head coach Sean McVay said neither would likely be ready in time. That's on top of not having right tackle Rob Havenstein, who is on IR, at their disposal.

With the second-most sacks (50), the Falcons don't need any additional help getting to Matthew Stafford. While those injuries are concerning, Stafford ranks 13th in time to throw and has been sacked 30 times, the third-lowest of QBs with at least 15 starts.

And if you're concerned about the impact of Adams' likely absence, rewatch the film from the Rams' Dec. 18 loss to Seattle last week, where the MVP odds front-runner roasted the league's second-best pass defense, according to DVOA, to the tune of 457 passing yards and 3 TDs.

Rams -8 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Rams have enjoyed an 11-day break since their devastating loss to the division-leading Seahawks. Aside from the aforementioned walking wounded, Los Angeles will be highly motivated and fresh. While it's unlikely they'll be able to win the NFC West, the Rams remain the Super Bowl odds betting favorite.

They sport the best ATS record (11-4), have the third-best defensive DVOA, and the best offensive DVOA, highlighted by their league-best 30.5 points per game.

The Falcons have won two in a row, but both victories came against struggling teams (Tampa Bay and Arizona). I expect an emphatic bounce-back game from Stafford and Co.

Score prediction: Rams 30, Falcons 20

Blake Corum, RB, Rams: TD Pick (+140) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Blake Corum enters MNF with five touchdowns in the previous four games, scoring at least one in each.

He has only six TDs all season, underscoring just how hot he's been lately. He's also being trusted more in the red zone recently, which he's taken full advantage of. His +140 odds represent the best value of the most-likely TD scorers, and a winning $10 bet will profit $14.
