The talk coming out of Thanksgiving was the coaching error that cost Matt Eberflus his job, overshadowing the fact that the Detroit Lions nearly blew a massive lead to the Chicago Bears. Now the Lions will have to avoid a similar performance against the hungry Green Bay Packers.

Our Packers vs. Lions TNF parlay based on our best Thursday Night Football odds sees the Lions as vulnerable to a letdown because of their mounting injuries. Our Packers vs. Lions prediction agrees with that, as it backs Green Bay to cover as an underdog.

The Lions (-3) host the Packers at Ford Field in Detroit on Thursday night at 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Will this game be as high-scoring as the total suggests? Our Jared Goff TNF prop bets and Jordan Love TNF prop bets certainly expect big games from the quarterbacks.

Let's dive into our SGP for this highly anticipated affair, which is just a taste of what we're offering bettors with our NFL Week 14 predictions.

SGP predictions for Packers vs. Lions

Our NEW NFL player prop odds tool can help you find the best odds on any market across legal sportsbooks in your area!

Packers +3.5 (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite 62% of spread wagers coming in on the Lions, the line keeps creeping down. We like the Packers’ chances to stay competitive in this one.

Injury attrition finally began to catch up to the Lions in the second half against the Bears. With defensive linemen DJ Reader, Josh Paschal, and Levi Onwuzurike and offensive tackle Taylor Decker ruled out for Thursday, that issue may be prominent against the Packers.

Aside from a season-opening five-point loss at Philadelphia, the Packers have either won or remained within a field-goal margin in every game except for their first meeting against the Lions. They have also won four straight road games.

As the only sportsbook to list the Packers at +3, we’re excluding DraftKings from consideration. Our other best sports betting sites list Green Bay at the more favorable +3.5 spread.

Josh Jacobs Over 73.5 rushing yards (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Allowing only 93.5 rushing yards per game, the Lions have had one of the best run defenses in the league this season. But Green Bay isn’t shy about feeding Josh Jacobs, and the first-year Packer could find success against that depleted Lions defensive front.

  • Jacobs has piled up 73 or more rushing yards in eight of 12 games this season
  • With Reader active the past four games, the Lions did not allowed an opposing running back to clear 50 rushing yards
  • Reader’s last missed game came when these teams matched up in early November; Jacobs ran for 95 yards on 13 carries in that contest

Caesars lists Jacobs’ rushing line at 73.5 yards, which is more aggressive than FanDuel (71.5) or BetMGM (70.5).

Despite expecting plenty of work from Jacobs, both our anytime touchdown scorer predictions and our first touchdown scorer predictions are backing a Packers wide receiver to find the endzone.

Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime touchdown scorer (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

In a game with the total set at a lofty 51.5, we could see Amon-Ra St. Brown return to his touchdown-scoring ways. He could also very well go Over his receiving yards total, which we discussed in our Packers vs. Lions TNF prop bets.

  • St. Brown scored in eight straight games prior to his current two-game touchdown drought, so we love the +100 odds on this prop in a projected high-scoring game
  • With top CB Jaire Alexander out for Green Bay on Nov. 3, St. Brown found the end zone against the Packers; Alexander remains out for Thursday’s contest

This parlay comes out to +455 at FanDuel and +475 at BetMGM. With far superior +575 odds on this SGP at Caesars, we’re playing our parlay there despite the higher total on the Jacobs prop.

A winning $10 wager on this parlay at Caesars would profit $57.50.
